Ben Affleck is the BOMB as Jack Ryan! He played Jack in Sum Of All Fears as a prequel. It bombed mainly because it was released so soon after 9/11. When Silence Of The Lambs came out I wasn't as impressed with Sir Anthony Hopkins because I saw Manhunter on video after it bombed in theaters. I saw it on basic cable wondering why it wasn't a hit. Brian Cox was an awesome Lector.

There were a couple that I wasn't aware of near the beginning of the video but, devils rejects Chronicles of Riddick Army of darkness Desperado (if you knew this film existed, you knew it was a sequel) 21 jump street Silence of the lambs Road warrior Cmon mojo

There was nothing at all secret about The Jewel Of The Nile being a sequel to Romancing The Stone. It was widely talked about and the major production issues got a lot of press. Plus audiences were in love with Kathleen Turner at that point. The film even had a music video by Billy Ocean that got played every 20 minutes on MTV.

Way way back in the day, I did overnight/weekend studies a medical research facility (I won't cite the name, and the rumor going around was that Robert Rodriquez made most of the money to finance El Mariachi by doing studies at this facility. Popular enough that the sequels got big Hollywood budgets!

There are another secret sequels that watchmojo didn't include which is The Thing (1982) is a secret sequel to the 2011 film. Although they have the same film name but the 2011 film is not a remake as if we connect the story of the two films, it interconnect.

You think a lot of people would know these movies with the internet. But I will honest, I did not know My Summer Story was a sequel to a Christmas Story, only because they also made A Christmas Story 2 and A Christmas Story Christmas later on.

If you read the story for star trek online they mentioned the destruction of Romulus this is the cause of the Narada and spocks ship traveling back in time its also referenced in Picard so the new star trek movies could be considered a spin off

There was an animated sequel between pitch black and chronicles of riddick, making it a trilogy. I used to have it in a DVD disc set
