Moustafa used a 1 inch in diameter curling iron right to the root, and the teasing was all underneath and was spread and connected to the other sections. Each section was sprayed before curling, before and after teasing.

The teasing was all wonky cause he used a small comb and you used a little bristle brush. The bristles frizzed out the hair while the comb would have just nicely teased and ran through the hair strands.

He used a comb to tease and you are using a brush. Maybe that's why it didn't tease out quite the same way. IDK, I'm not a hair dresser but just happen to notice that.

I think the difference came from him using simple rollers, and u using rolling iron. Also, he has been teasing with a simple flat comb, and u were using the bore brush.

I think he's back combing on specific areas of the curl to create the wave, instead of just however many times it takes to get to the bottom

You're using the wrong style of comb brad! You have to use one of the little thin rat tail combs! Not the kind with the bristles like yours

Moustafa uses a comb to tease but you're using like. I teasing brush so maybe that could be why it wasn't what you were going for?
