I gave fire haircutting a try (does it really work) Yashi: the ancients used sharp blades for hair cutting like anything else that had to be cut. duh. this bs is just trolling hair dressers. like brad said theres a lot of seudo science going on when you're prepping hair against damage before causing damage to cover up a technique that we know science doesnt allow to work as its being described. notice none of the clients were light haired. not here and not in his react video over fire hair cutting. hiding the burn sealed spots. suedo science scam

Brad, you CAN put fire on your skin to heal it - it's called cauterizing and is used to seal wounds. The process does damage the burnt flesh, but it keeps you from losing more blood/tissue and kills any bacteria on the wound surface which reduces (but doesn't entirely eliminate) the chance of infection. Medical cauterization usually involves electricity or lasers rather than direct fire or a fire-heated blade. It's common in dental surgery and tumor removal.

I think you should have been a doctor (like a psychologist) - the amount of kindness you have to people even when you sooooo don't agree with them is outstanding! If you were a doctor, you would have been a healer of souls. Seriously. A lot of times I really ( and don't take it the wrong way: :) don't really care about the hair stuff but I watch you just to rise my spirits up! :D

Ok so I'm weighing in late here, but. I live in Turkey, and while this isn't done in women's salons, they do use fire to clean up the outline after a fade, and to clean up any hair on or around the ears in men's barber shops. First time I walked by one and saw this I was a little alarmed LoL. Also. They do not use blow torches
I mean - what the actual?

Having taken Anatomy and Physiology and Histology as nursing pre recs, heat denatures proteins and can also cause changes to chemical bonds as well. The reason heat damages hair is because your hair is primary made up of the protein keratin. Heat denatures those proteins which causes breakage. So no, science does not support this method either

Just had a crazy idea you might like. Miss Mannequins after they have had their moment of fame. Their post result heads could be sold to fans to help a non profit you love. I would totally love going into a salon and seeing one of your heads and remembering the fun on the video. You could autograph date and number them. Why not.

You can cauterize a wound in an emergency using fire to temporarily stop bleeding, but it is a last resort solution. It will create a burn / scar - basically, damage, the same as the fire haircut. So no, you're not sealing the keratin, you're just burning it. Umm. Human bodies can burn as well, though. So, not the best plan.

HAHAHA Brad you are so much fun to watch. but. if you want to get the gas from the bottle into the burner you have to hold it upside down for the gas to get into the burner. or at least tip it horizontaly. if you keep it straight up. the gas will never get into the burner. I love you by the way!

5: 30 All egyptians were bald. The only ones that were not were teenage boys who had a single side-lock growing from about their temple. When they turned 13, this was shaved-off and they were now men. Women were clean-shaven too, but they wore wigs. They did this because lice were so bad.

I did the candle cutting technique and did 1 strand at a time and I'm telling you- it literally make my hair feel amazing. I know that seems long and strange but it's quite meditative. don't come for me, we all have our weird quirks, okay. I'm sure this can work with the right technique.

This is absolutely BS! I can't believe that people are trying to sell this as a way to make money! Skin and hair do not get along with fire. This made me so upset I had to say something about it!
Thank you Brad Mondo for showing us that this is not ok. You rock love ya!

i take dabs often so I know how do use one of those blow torches and refill them and watching Brad try to use the blow torch and fill it is honestly terrifying. youre supposed to turn the butane and the torch upside down when you fill it or it can be really dangerous.

I went to middle school with a girl who had such a bad lice infection that if you just looked at her hair you could see the lice weaving and moving on the surface of her hair. It was so bad she had NO other option but to shave her whole head. Medicine wasnt enough.

okkkk I'm surprised no one's mentioned in comments yet (not that I've seen) but this method is used in some Indian cultures, where they believe cutting hair is disrespectful. So they burn it off instead

If you had a cut and needed to close it up or stop bleeding and it was urgent you would heat up a knife bite a stick and press the knife on your skin. So essentially yes you can close up skin with heat
