Hairdresser reacts to at home highlights gone wrong Sophie: Slowlier. I wonder what's in those box kits that affects the vocabulary with so many of these people. I laughed my head off yesterday watching your DIY lockdown mullet video, it had a young man who looked sort of Scandinavian/ Germanic. '. cute but strange '; )lol & he put the front of his hair into a little plait & then just hacked at his head & said ' I now think I. have some real MULLET-IZATION going on' In the end he looked like a member of a 1980' s British scrappy band called Kajagoogoo! I think here's going to be millions of mulletization victims globally a lockdown eventually ends. lol I lived through the 70' s & bleached, crimped & sustained sheer abuse to my barnett through the 80' s. it a real treat watching these videos. lol xx

I have used the Loreal Frost and Design kit on and off for years and have yet to have a bad experience with it. Instead of the cap and hook, I use a highlighting comb and foils. Since I have waist-long hair that is very natural dark brown (almost black) hair, it's very hard to get my hair to color. This kit is great. And the one that she is using is actually meant for people with long hair, which makes it even better. Simply discard the cap and hook, and you're already off to a better start
I've been going back and forth with the idea of using metallic dyes to do colored highlights, or an under-color, but I heard that they tend to melt the hair. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

When I was in middle school (many years ago lol) I bought a highlighter cap. I had no idea whatni was doing. I didn't understand the directions and I tried to pull one thing of hair out at a time and then bleach it and then I would move onto the next area. Obviously I had very very uneven highlights. I also realized it was going to make my hair fall out if I kept going that route so I gave up about a quarter of the way through. It was awful. I wish I had a video or picture

Ive watched countless Brad Mondos before I bleached and colored my hair violet with unicorn hair followed by I later used his bleach bath technique to remove the unicorn hair color. It removed and lightened my hair enough to use T18! I followed by a deep cholesterol conditioner and a leave in moisturizer. So far it has turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL platinum! Thank you Brad!

A friend of mine tried a frosting cap on me once. My hair was about chin length and she barely was able to get the cap off of me afterward! The pain! The worst part? There were almost no highlights! Thats when I discovered at the age of 30 that my hair does not bleach easily!

Meanwhile I'm watching this as I do chunky highlights in my bangs. LMAO. As an artist, I like to mess with my hair because it appeases my creativity and appeases the mental break down gods ALL IN ONE GO! Worse comes to worse I go get it fixed. (At least I don't use box dye)

Brad I had Soo many issues w beauticians trying to highlight my hair. When in past 20 years ago my beautician highlighted my hair ev 3 to 4 months and never had to use a toner. I think beauticians r using wrong bleach now days. Is it to make more money?

Watching fools ruin their hair is funny. Idk why people try to do things without prior knowledge. Do your research. Read up. Watch dozens of tutorials. And if you still don't feel sure then go to a pro. This applies to anything. not just hair.

I love your videos. Uh oh these highlights are scaring me already. I pray for her she has maybe st least done this before so maybe it's not a total disaster like I'm thinking it could be. Fingers crossed oh my gosh I'm so nervous

My highlights I had for five years in a row always turned out great w out toner now days beauticians can't get it right. My old beautician moved out of state. I've been screwed for 20 years trying to find a beautician that listens!

Well, I learned. that Brad was hair obsessed from a very young age, and was bleaching/dyeing mannequin wigs from the age of 10. Love it! Thanks, Brad!

Cap hilites are terrifying to me. I cant believe that lightener blasted through her dark hair because that looked like color not virgin hair.
