I'm in the overtone ads, do i actually approve of this product? terber: I am an Asian with lots of gray hair. I didnt want to damage my hair with bleach so I decided to try Overtone.
I started with black. It barley colored my hair and it was more of a light purple. Still pretty but not black.
I tried brown, my grays went to a coppery orangish color. Not very pretty. But I mixed brown and black and it made a pretty light purple.
Tried the teal. I liked it a lot. Mixed it with blue and it was pretty. Again. Nothing like the color you would get with bleached hair but the pigment left a nice blue teal tint on my hair. I got a lot of compliments. I post pics.
I bought the red. Not good on me but colors extremely well. I also bought the purple which is amazing. It gives me the most color. I mixed a little purple with my red and it comes out perfectly. I use the deep conditioners and leave on for 1/2hr.
I have to do it once a week.

Friends, help me out. I had extreme red overtone in my hair and its faded to a rose gold. I went to a hair stylist to get my hair professionally back to blond with a root shadow, and she told me that overtone is impossible to get out of my hair and will likely turn highlighter pink upon being bleached. She didn't even mention a bleach bath method. Anyone actually see this be an issue? I bleach bathed my hair 6 months ago and completely removed extreme purple, so I don't think the red would be more of an issue?

Hey Brad. I'm thinking of getting overtone for my lightish brown hair. I want to do pink colored roots with black but I can't figure out which of overtones pinks I should use that would look pink and not magenta or redish without bleaching my hair. My roots are kinda blonde cause I am a blonde(I've just dyed my hair black before so my hair kinda faded to a light brown) if I could get any pink overtone recommendations that would be great.

So. after a year of using Overtone. I have to say be careful about long time use. I colored my light brown hair purple about 6 times over the course of a year and wanted to get rid of it and go back to blonde. After two color removing treatments with a stylist I was unable to get the purple out of my hair, instead I was left with a pink color stain and very damaged hair. Perhaps its fine if you dont over use it, but be careful.

I hate limited edition stuff. I dont want to love and get obsessed with something I cant buy next year, so I wont buy it.
I wonder how many sales are being missed because of that. Like am I the only one, that wants to fall in love with a product I can rely on to be there the next time I want it? I hate when my favorite things are discontinued, so why would I want it to happen faster?

Okay, I didnt know you advertised for this, and I bought one to try (rose gold) yesterday on my brown hair, and it was applying kinda chunky and waxy, and not soaking into my hairwhat was wrong with the one I bought? It isnt super dry, but waxy enough when applied that there were some waxy chunks, but I was thinking maybe it was a defective container?

I Love Overtone. Lovelovelove. I bleach and tone so I can play more. My hair is very very short, maybe even shorter than brads. It fades out in 7 -10 days and then I get to play more. I buy the sample size bc I get so many applications out of the little jar. I am obsessed. My cousin is now using it and even on her 9yr old daughter bc it's conditioner!

HEEYYYY! I am a processed blonde. Naturally a blue black. I want that Ariel red hair using overtone and was wondering if it would completely wash off if I do use any of the colors? I would hate not to be able to go back to blonde easily because I have super thick, dark and long hair that already costs me a lot of $$$. I would hate to Fge it up.

I need xmondo to be the first brand to carry a brunette/ black that's specifically for hair color addicts to give their hair a break where the focus of it's development is that it fades nicely and comes completely out after 10-ish washes. Overtone stains and lasts too long just like every other demo black.
I need gimme a break brunette

I'm a natural redhead and I just purchased the black overtone conditioner. I was planning on doing just a black undersection, but I'm worried that the black will start staining the non dyed portions over time from the black section rubbing against the red. Is this something that would happen?

NO NO NO NO. I AM WARNING ANYONE WHO WANTS TO USE BLACK OR BROWN SHADES FROM OVERTONE. DO NOT USE THESE ON YOUR HAIR. THEY WILL NOT COME OUT. My hair is completely RUINED from the espresso brown shade and when I tell you I've tried EVERYTHING to get it out. girl nothing works.

Brad if I have silver roots and want to temporally cover the silver (Im growing out my silver gray) will it change the nee outgrowth and stain the silver. Is there developer in the product. My Jain concern would be that the silver color is not compromised.
Thank you Cin

I just ordered the deep conditioner masks in vibrant blue and extreme purple to be prepared to touch up my beautiful professionally done blonde to light blue to indigo balayage ombre and I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't want it to be faded out in 3 weeks.

My hair is medium brown and Ive been dyeing it with overtone for about 2 years. It works really well, and my hair isnt (completely) ruined! I mean from dyeing it so often it looks so different from my original hair color but it looks good otherwise.
