NO! Dont ruin it if youre cutting that much! Donate it! Please! Give it to someone who doesnt have any of their own to ruin! Locks of love, Pantene Beautiful Lengths, and Im sure there are more. It takes as little as 10 and it can be processed hair. My family has done it since my 4 year old son wanted to grow his hair long so he could donate it. Its simple and easy and such a gift to those who have no hair of their own.

As soon as I saw that last girl pull out the box of Splat dye I started to get heart palpitations. That stuff (especially the blue) is such a problem. Unless it's semi-permanent dye over non-bleached hair, that stuff doesn't come out. It stains the hair. I have seen a number of hairdressers say in articles that Splat is one of the main reasons people ask for color correction services.

I had a professional turn my hair into seaweed. It was horrible. This person was supposed to be one of the best hair colorists in town. I found a lovely couple of ladies who fixed it and they are now the only ones allowed to touch it.
Just to note, I had waist length seaweed, so I was extremely pissed.

I know I will get roasted for this but when we couldn't afford anything but $7 for a box of hair dye, Garnier Nutresse hair dye is by far the best dye. It comes out with depth in the color and doesn't totally fry the hair out. We go to the salon now. But, Garnier has my vote of confidence for sure.

I use Nutrisse box dye to make my hair dark blue over my pink/purple/blonde mess when I got it ombre dyed months ago and I worked really well, I will die for box dye I'm too lazy for professional LOL
