So I did go to cosmetology school, I did not graduate though, because right towards the end, I got diagnosed with lupus, and could not physically do the job, but I do still cut my own hair and other peoples hair, and you are exactly right with when you have a wolf cut, wearing it straight can look a bit odd. I have a wolf cut, and I love to straighten my hair, but when I do it tends to look a bit choppy. So I'll usually go back in with a product and just scrunch it up a bit to give it some waves

I need to know one of these cuts for someone with super fine, thin hair that just does not work with short layers (end up with a poofy top and straggly thin bottom, should I do a butterfly without taking a lot off? I want to try and dyi because everything is so expensive now, including a hair cut. I love your videos but would love a few for those of us just not genetically blessed with thick wavy hair and maybe some of us trying to color at home with salt and pepper: )

I ve followed your tutorials before for myself but I did another one last night for my sister in law and it turned out cute! And next is layers and I literally said we need to figure out if you want the wolf cut or butterfly cut. This is the most PERFECT timing ever. Omg. Love you sooooo much and I m so excited for your products to be in Sally s beauty! I m gonna make a video trying out the wave tech foam for the first time once it s in stores!

Soooo, like about 2 months ago I gave myself a wolf cut. I have curly hair btw, buuuuut I quite didn't like it, and my hair were super frizzy all the time, so, like about a month later I cut it butterfly hahaha I really don't know if technically my hair its fckd, but I really reeeeally love my hair rn, it has a lot of volume, it dries super fast, I don't have to style it everyday, and yeah, it just feel better than ever.

I have 3A curls and often struggle with volume at my roots. I've tried the wolf cut on myself before and I felt very conflicted about it, cause well I love having short layers, especially around my crown area since it's the area where I struggle the most with volume, but at the same time I feel like my ends are getting too thin if I add too much layering, which is not exactly what I want either. smh why is it so hard having curly hair lmao

I love the idea of the wolf cut, but I am soooo nervous to try bangs again. The last time I did, the hairstylist fkd up. but I feel like even if she hadn't, I probably still wouldn't have liked the bangs. I look a lot different at 30 than I did when we all did the side bang 15 years ago, lol. Straight across never looked right on me, either. I wish I could try it without actually doing it T_T

after trying both I ended up liking wolfcut more bc it's lower maintenance, forgiving if u go too short w the layers, just grow it out and your hair will be low- maintenance for the next year! the butterfly cut grew out too fast for me and I really don't like how it looks overgrown and needed frequent trimming to maintain the right shape

The thing I do is kind of a mixture of the two. Lol. I don t let my hair get long enough for the back of my hair to reach that ponytail all the way up at the front of my head in the wolfcut, so I do a second ponytail in order to remove some length from the back. It s been my go-to for a couple of years and I love it.

I shaved a section around my ear back in February, and mostly just gave myself the wolf cut. Then, the patch was long enough that the butterfly cut helped make it look symmetrical and more even. The floofiness is definitely higher up but no one can tell I once shaved a patch of my hair

the butterfly cut reminds me of a haircut I used get for years. It was a face frame with layers. Obviously, there are some clear differences. But they both have some similarities (in my opinion): very easy to flip out, and easy to create more body if the right styling tools are used.

I have always wanted to do wolf cut but I don't know how to style it. I also have colored hair and change it up once and a while. I have done butterfly cut before and I don't like it on me. I've loved the wolf cut looks on other people. Should I say screw it and do it?

i have tried to get the wolf cut so many times and it appears no hairdressers around me dont know what it is! downside of living in a small town

I have fine / straight hair that has a bit of a wave sometimes and I just recently got a wolf cut and omg I m kicking myself for not getting it sooner it is literally THE haircut for my hair and face shape. 10/10 love the wolf cut so much

I love the butterfly. Trued to do a wolf cut but was conservative and it turned into a butterfly. Didnt even know. Hairdresser complimented me in my hair and said it was most recommended in her salon.
