Wait. the tone in the thumbnail though is to die for
Edit: it's just hair and when you burn all your hair off you learn a lot of cool things about your face shape go for it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it by yourself and keep doing it until it's perfect under every lighting
Edit2: noooo start at the top that's your face. By the time they get to the second half of your hair they're going to run out of bleach they're going to run out of motivation they're going to run out of the fee that they charged you and into the next client and get lazy you want them to get lazy on the bottom half
Edit3. The best hair color I ever had was when I accidentally colored it read and it was splotchy and pink and purple everywhere and then I removed it to light pink and purple and yellow. I added the tone I actually wanted it was so pretty the tones were so pretty I couldn't do it again if i wanted. I have never gotten those pink and purple beautiful undertones on purpose from any salon

you told us for years we should start down and work our way up, because it gets messy otherwise.
Now you change it up!
there are a lot of ways to do sht, for real!
do not do your roots, as they process faster because of the heat. Now, when almost everyone got it, you take it back, because people leave out too much space at the roots!
You could tell again, that it should only be a tiny space. together with the new recommandation to use a lower level at the roots. ( I am not sure, if that really is easier, would there not be overlapping
People listen to you, and your feedback is most of the time constructive and helpful. But these 180s you sometimes do are a little bit baffling.

Throughout the panini, I followed tutorials for wolf cut, butterfly cut, then curtain bangs (still working on those because of one wrong cut but hey. Now my daughter asks me to work on hers. I will never begrudge a hairdresser charging what they charge for colour/bleach. It was a long, complicated journey with some bad advice from the beauty supply store. and she has so much freaking hair that just applying the bleach took two rounds at 2 hours each time just for the application (she really does have thick hair. She still asks me to do her hair, so you must be doing something right with your tutorials. Thank you!

Brad being shocked it turned out to be light brown or dark blonde on the first video, hair dyes application looks darker than it is when you wash it out and I know because I help my mom dyed her grey hair and my mom freaks out every time when the dye looks darker when it’s processing but no it’s some chemical that makes its look darker than it is the longer you let it process it’s totally normal but what’s it shocking that brad didn’t know especially he’s a hair stylist

to touch on what you were saying about filling over processed hair before toning w an ash, would you then recommend mixing a Gold w the ash and that should be good enough or do a whole fill w just Gold and then another application of the ash cuz as an assistant i saw my old boss over process people’s hair then slap on an ash B or V and it obviously would over process to a violet tone, then i’d be tasked w clarifying shampooing the client to death til it was platinum

It always kills me when people say, it's dead! My dudes/dudettes, it was dead before, now it's just fried. One of the biggest propaganda lies in beauty products is that any product can bring your hair back to life. It can make it look better, or bond builders specifically, can strengthen it, BUT _nothing_ is going to magically resurrect dead keratin. If it's not your root - it's dead, just like your fingernails.

I’m 5 years post melting my hair off attempting 3 full head bleaches in 1 week. My hair broke off behind my head leaving 2-3 inches on the apex. I have not & will NEVER bleach my own hair at home again. I had to chop 24 off. I’m happy to report it’s back to waist length & super healthy with many trips to the hairdresser. I do weekly scalp & oil treatments & learned my lessonDO NOT BOX DYE!

Okay maybe I’m delusional but I HATE getting my hair cut before bleaching because I feel like my hair always looks and feels way healthier than when I cut it after bleaching. It feels like because the hair is cut it’s open so it fries more easily than the hair in the middle of the strand that’s getting bleached. Maybe I’m delusional but that’s been my experience.

I had a money piece for a long time, and I loved it. Against a friend’s advice, I went to a hairdresser who dated her son. That money piece literally looked like dry ramen noodles. I went to a hairdresser I knew and got a Pixie, cut off all the old color, and damage, and rocked it from 2018 to 2022. Still not coloring, though. My hair feels so much better!

What I don’t understand is why you don’t tell people to use a protein treatment when their hair is so bad. One ApHogee two step treatment, found at Sally’s, will fix that damage in minutes. Or even one of the many bonding repair products. It doesn’t make sense why unless it’s because you don’t carry those types of products.

I am most interested why girls with dark dye in their hair don't try the color remover first (before the bleach, cause you can always try to bleach it after. My hairdresser also only uses bleach, so I had to do color removal at home (from permanent bright red, cause I didn't want to bleach my hair as I was not planning to go blond.

I need to learn how to get my hair to look like yours. My hair always looks soooo basic. It's nearly the same length as yours is now, just a bit shorter. Would love to find a stylist and just ask them to have fun and do whatever they want to my hair. I've literally never colored or really even styled my hair ever

To the last girl. the left part of the hair fried because you started there, and by the time that you ended all the hair and adding to the processing time it was too much. Next time bleach half and rinsed then do the other half (if you feel it’s taking too long) an advice but I’m not a hairdresser

11: 29 to be fair when I had a beautician professionally bleach my hair to prepare for red dye it took SOOOO LONG to get it light enough my hair was virgin but super low propensity and extremely dark and coarse. I think it’s just black hair when it’s this texture that makes it impossible to bleach

I feel there is some trickery with the first girl. Cause there was a lot of cuts and edits and POOF we are here. I don't know if that was Brad's team of how the video actually was. But something doesn't seem right and think she went and got it done after she messed up again.

My mom was a hair stylist for a few decades. I did a home bleach job once and it got stretchy/gummy and my mom told me to pour vinegar all over it and it worked! It was still really damaged but the vinegar did something to fix the stretchy/gummy issue and saved my hair.

After watching these videos I do not want to color my own hair now. I’ve always been a blonde and I really wanted to go darker. But after watching all of these color fails I don’t want to color my own hair now. Thanks for the advice Brad!

1 minute and 16 seconds in and he's explained the exact reason why I removed by level 5 copper red out of my hair today to go back as close as possible to my natural level 7 ash blonde as possible today. Now I know I made the right choice lol

After I shaved my hair off, I’m terrified to bleach it or dye it aver again. It’s now passed my collarbone and I’m trying to grow it down to my a$$. I don’t even straighten it anymore. I’m trying to have it as healthy as possible.
