I have a totally low-tech little churn thing. It looks like a tall narrow mini french press. You put milk in pump it 8 or 10 times and you have foam. I haven't tried it with milk. I like half & half in my coffee. Next time, I'll examine it closely, but it seems like it makes a fairly fine glossy result. I just use milk from the fridge, it warms up fast on the coffee, although I mat try hot milk next time I get out the cappuccino maker. Thanks for all of the other ideas for using milk foam! I've also thought it might make some quick whipped cream, too, using heavy cream.

I used to work at Nespresso and immediately clocked the competing product as their aeroccino 4. While I’m in no way trying to defend them or their products, and while I think it’s likely the Dreo does get you a better result, it’s worth noting that in the video you selected the hot milk option which specifically doesn’t froth the milk too much, it mostly just heats it up, the other buttons will actually froth it to differing extents. But like you said, the options aren’t self explanatory, I know because I’ve had to explain them to many people

I know there are people that are disappointed this video is an ad. But this really does appear to be a sort of breakthrough product. I went through tons of home milk frothers and methods, and ended up just getting an espresso machine because nothing's quite like a steam wand.
The results Adam's showing off in this video are highly impressive. And the fact that it can do both hot and cold makes it more of an all-purpose tool than a steam wand is.
If you're lacking a takeaway from this video, I guess mine was milk frothers don't have to suck anymore

BIg fan, I've been watching alot of your one pan/one pot meal prep stuff in preparation for my junior year of college (off the meal plan. If you made a video on convenient things to make and essential pantry items I would be so grateful! Currently just planning on making a big batch of beans every sunday based off one of your videos. Made them before and they are delicious but I fear it might get old after 15 weeks.

$100 for a Kickstarter hopefully will get frother. ouch.
I've only been a barista for 14 years - I have a lot to learn still and at competition always see something new. But that foam really isn’t much different than what you can get with an $11 whisk, since its is all about technique. But of course people may not want to learn at all so these products do have a place.

So many people are being mean about it but I actually love seeing a full on 5 minute infomercial from you. My boy getting paid! Also that thing looked like the dumbest ass unitasker (can it _seriously_ compete with a steam wand) until the protein powder. If enough disposable income, that thing looks way more convenient than dirtying the whole vitamix for one drink.

adam, I find it hard to reconcile your gratitude to your audience for their viewship that you have professed (and the openly stated financial stabillity from it) with these long-form advertisments that we vocally really, really don't like and even find morally ambiguous. how are we supposed to react to this
reply

Adam, I love ya, but titling a video What makes a perfect foam for cafe latte implies that you are going to give information on how to achieve a perfect foam. Buy this product, while technically an answer to that question, is not really what people expect given that title.
reply

Adam, I like your videos a lot and I am happy you got your bag for making this video but it feels kinda weird that you are promoting a specialty product as someone who I appreciate for being anti-speciality tools and pro-improving as a home cook: (
reply

I didn't come here for no ad Adam. In one video u said that you will not use food processor and other machines, because some can't afford it, etc. Now the whole video is basically: you want good foam, buy sponsors product.
reply

Personally if I'm going to make a milky espresso drink, I make a cappuccino. You get a stronger coffee flavour and a more interesting textural experience.
I don't make macchiatos or cortados because I don't want to waste milk

The first sentence tells us this is an ad. The product advertised seems like something Adam genuinely likes and does use. The advertisement includes some interesting ideas and facts. This is the right way to do an ad video.
reply

This is a serious departure from Adams normal content, and the fact that is an ad doesn’t annoy me, it’s the fact that the title is misleading and 3/5ths of the video is ad, and the rest is a tomato soup recipe.
reply

I don’t mind either that this is an ad.
I recall in another episode or so that Adam said he doesn’t promote items he doesn’t use himself. Of course yes he’s getting paid for this but I see no issue with this.

reply

This seems kinda off brand for Adam. He tends to be very anti-special machines. Idk why but I feel like I wanted a sequel to the macaron episode where he made a latte with just a stovetop and a wooden spoon
reply

I don’t mind the video primarily featuring a product, but from the title I was expecting a bit more info about milk foam or related interesting minutiae. This really did just feel like an ad through and through.
reply

Me: Reads title and assumes the video dives into the science of stable and rich milk foams.
Adam: Actually what makes a perfect foam for lattes is the Dreo Baristamaker.
I'm not even mad.

reply

A lot of people whingeing in the comments like he hasn’t done sponsored videos before.
This actually does look like something I’d enjoy using, I’m a sucker for kitchen toys

reply

Adam has made many coments about how he views sponsorships. If you feel like this is a clear attempt to milk the audience for money, at least appreciate its about a milk frother.
reply

Yeh i dont like this video the whole thing was an ad for a product im not gona buy, the video should have been marked as an ad cause i cant make anything in it wth out the product.
