This week on Basics, we take a look at cooking up the perfect lamb chop. To top that lamb chop we're making a delicious mint chimichurri, which will go very well with a classic martini. Craig: Hey babish, ever thought about making a course for cooking? Like instead of it being random like basics with babish, you do a numbered course of cooking from all the basics, I love these videos, but I don t know what order I should watch them to learn, so maybe you should reference these videos in a course series?

I am not sure how I feel about the way you handle sponsorship in the past few videos.
I know that sponsors are happy when you fill the show with their products, but I m just afraid it might affect your credibility and how the viewers see you, even though you re just a nice guy that wants to make sure everyone (including the sponsors) is happy.
Please don t take it as hating, but rather as a feedback from an old viewer: D Cheers!

You cooked lamb. your sponsor is a gin made with mint.
Babish. where was the mint jelly?
What kind of monster doesn't have mint jelly with their lamb?

Oh man, lamb shoulder is honestly one of my favorites, I like it more than the mini t bone cuts and its less expensive than the other ones too

Babish how about you cook
Amy's Date Night Spaghetti and Strawberry Quick and the Amy's version of Memaw's Christmas Cookies from The Big Bang Theory

I think a little audio editing snafu: first up we have the individual loin chop followed by then we have the smaller and more expensive loin chop.

Babish: eat like a giant
Me: heck yeah
Babish: fine I'll eat it with a fork and knife like a grown up
Me: I will remember this betrayal

It is easy, lamb is great, goat is trash. Goat is inedible, avoid/ kill it, never let it live. Goat is related to devil shit for a reason.

You can also make lamb less-gamey tasting by soaking it overnight in milk or in milk mixed with rosemary. Works well on venison too.

I was going to charcoal grill lamb chops this very evening! This feels like fate. I am even more excited to get grilling now hell yes
