My late grandma used to just cup her hand and used that as her measuring tool (she washed her hands all the time, that sometimes we thought that she had OCD. Then she graduated to using enamel cup as her standard measuring cup. Her ratios of ingredients were always consistent.

I would just define any vessel as being my new standard cup and then follow the recipe. This way I might not end up with the right amount of dough in the end but the ratios all stay the same thus resulting in the right taste.

They should have put the whole thing under a scale but with the monitor shown to the camera so they can't see it so we could not only see the result but also the accuracy on the eyeballing
