Bon Apptits Brad Leone is back for episode 65 of Its Alive, and this time hes making his master stock. The perfect base for your broths, sauces, or just to drink as a hearty morning elixir. Join Brad as we learn about ham hocks, misophonia, and the correct way to spell Scorsese, which is Scorsese, and not how it was hastily spelled in the video. Sorry, Marty. Its what it is. This stock is so good we had to let the people know about it ASAP

Making and eating a meal with Brad is both my dream and my nightmare. I'm VERY aware of how crunchy things are when I eat them, and I'm pretty sure that he'd get flashbacks to his dad eating celery. I made the mistake of ordering nachos when I went to see Moneyball in the theater, and there are stretches - LONG STRETCHES - where it's perfectly silent in that movie. I would be lulled into a false sense of security in louder moments and start eating the chips, but then it would suddenly go silent. I had to let the chips in my mouth soften to where I was sure that people couldn't hear me three rows away.

Hi Brad, I used to fix cookers, that clicking is one of two problems. Either the switch that controls the auto-ignitor is faulty, or the spark itself is dirty. Best advice is to clean all the stove and stove pieces with alcohol, if that doesn't fix the problem, you should find the switch located under the over, it will pop out and they're normally a blue color, you can buy another online pretty easily and cheaply and it should just pop back into place.

Let's be real. If my options were a) wrestling a stock pot with 35 pounds of water and a bunch of other stuff on and off of the stove that's practically taller than my petite Gaby-height body, and b) asking he-man Brad do it, I'd choose b, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Be sure to google freeze dryers in incognito mode. One brand has buried me in ads. Btw they are expensive but big with the preppers since the results are stable at least ten years without refrigeration.

For me, its easier to roast the veggies in the oven first, deglaze the roasting pan and dump everything into the stock pot. I would also deglaze the pans that were used to roast the wings.

This mythbusting stuff as talked about mushrooms at 3: 00 could be a show. Trying a lot of combos and variations on the same 'lore' knowledge and see what's true/what's not

Can you use frozen celery or other frozen vegetables for this? I dont often have celery when its time to make stock so I bought some and cut it up and popped in the freezer.

that's 2 videos in a row now I have seen where kitchen items are dropped on the floor and then put back for use first was Claire and the cheese graders and now the bowls

Didnt know that was a thing. I get really mad when people eat crunchy things too. Never knew why. I usually just put in earbuds and turn up the volume so I dont hear it.
