New leadership Editor-in-Chief Dawn Davis, Executive Editor Sonia Chopra, and Global Brand Advisor Chef Marcus Samuelsson talk about why they joined Bon App tit and what they have planned across print, social, and video. Jill: I've never had poached salmon, and kids make fun of kids of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities. Can't watch this virtue signalling. No offense to the chefs here. I'm sure you're wonderful. And I'm sure I'd watch any content you put out, but not under these circumstances. You're worth more to me for your ideas and skills than the color of your skin.

This isn't about the content. It's about paying the poc creators the wages that they deserve. This isn't how you come back. BA needs to make a video addressing about what happened with Rapport, and whats going to happen to its original chefs. Bring back the original staff as well, but stand together and address what's going on. us fans deserve that much.

Anyway instead of supporting BA after what they did, head over the Babish Cinematic Universe and support Sohla, who left BA because of the way they were treating her as a woman of colour. She has a new show, Stump Sohla, where she really gets to show off her cooking skills to their fullest! It s very entertaining and really, really good.

Wow lots of critics in the comments. How about giving them a chance and seeing how they are in the future. If any change is not enough for you what is? They know they are being watched and constant criticism is not going to help. You are all making it seem that these new additions don't matter. They matter!

i am dissapointed. i feel like that the place where i saw people cook with happy and joy become a place that cant be real and tries to make a point an agenda in a really fake way
i waited for them to say sorry and just make the change without mentioning it
disclaimer: the stuff isnt the issue here

But you guys never owned up to your mistakes and instead refused to listen to three of your most amazing chefs; Priya, Sohla and Rick. I feel sorry for these new chefs. They didn t do anything wrong but they are being used scapegoats to cover up the ignorance and the discrimination at Conde Nast

I was a true BA fan before the fallout. I loved the entire cast of cooks and chefs. But this video makes me feel like I need a shower! It s really cringeworthy. And adding Marcus Samuelson for the credibility factor is just plain wrong! Whoever your PR team is, it s time to re-evaluate. again.

This doesn't feel right. We got caught mistreating people of color so now we're back. We hired new people of color, put them in the thumbnail and now they are gonna tell you why we are such a great company because we hired them.
I just hope they are getting paid fairly.

This is embarrassing, it looks fake and they clearly state that they have been there for WEEKS. Just because BA cleaned house on A Department doesn t mean all of BA feels the same. I don t get how this was an improvement when it just seems so scripted and fake

So. Has the entire old crew left? I know some of them have put out statements, but not all have. The whole reason I cared about these videos was because of those people, not necessarily the content. I'm sure these new people are nice but they're not the same at all.
