LOOKING FOR DESSERT IDEAS (Histamine Intolerance)So i was diagnosed with Histamine Intolerance and now there are so many things i can't eat and i miss chocolate desserts so much. i'll list the things that must not be used at the end. i hoped that you, as a community of foodies, could help me. LIST: no Chocolate, cocoa etc, no citrus fruits, no straw/ raspberries, no honey, no nuts, no alcohol, no soy, no bananas, kiwis or papayas and basically nothing that has been fermented/aged/matured. (i already thought of cinnamon and caramel stuff, but those are becoming kinda boring)Thanks in advance for every suggestion

I like to bake but your ideas are amazing. however I keep trying to find a caramel flavoured cake everything on the net involves using a sauce covering the cake. As an experiment I used honeycomb which I blitzed and used as sugar, it was pretty good but the cake had small areas of honeycomb that weren't fine enough when mixed that melted into a chewy area I'm still looking, but there's a challenge for you to experiment and make a caramel flavoured cake with chocolate and orange layer and decorated in your amazing way. If you take up the challenge I really look forward to the video

So yesterday I made the chocolate sponge part of this cake just for a trial. Mixed exactly as per instruction. Mix was batter like, looked good, I didn't tap the tins. However, when cool and I sliced the crumb was full of large air bubble craters. Also cakes domed in the middle making slicing into 2 layers impossible. Even if they had no doming the finished width wasnt enough to slice easily into 2. I used 8 pans. hmmmm Tasted nice though.

CupcakeJemma I tried the chocolate cake (didn't have time/energy to do the malt cake too) and the texture isn't particularly cake-like; it's come out more as a choc torte filling and it's very heavy. Is that how it's supposed to come out or have I done something wrong? o. O

I love how you give ingredient amounts as you go along Jemma. Such a joy, as it makes following the recipe so much easier. I lose the will to live hunting down ingredient amounts on people's websites which are never where they say they are. Happy Christmas to you

Hi Jemma, just a note that perhaps Horlicks is not that similar to Ovaltine or Milo? The latter two are chocolate based malt drinks while Horlicks doesn't have any chocolate in it. Would the cocoa content in Ovaltine and Milo interfere with your recipe proportions?

Your recipes in the description box arent totally the same as what you tell in the video. Quantities are different and Some ingredients aren't on the list. Please check that out and change, so noone makes this cake based on the description box. :-)

Hello Jemma, I've many a times asked this question bt neva got a reply. Egg whites contain avidin protein which bind to Vit B7 n cause severe deficiency while it gets destroyed on heating. so hw is meringue or royal icing safe for eating?
