I had a bit of a sore throat for this video so apologies for the hoarseness (although it's perfect for singing Driving Home For Christmas. ANYWAY. this Yule Log is a light, fresh take on the usual rich and heavy logs you may be used to. And, IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE Recipe: For the swiss roll sponge 65g plain flour 40g cocoa powder a pinch of salt 100g caster sugar 4 lg eggs, separated 1/2 tsp peppermint extract For the White chocolate ganache 150g white chocolate chips 100g double cream For the filling - 175g double cream 1 tbsp caster sugar 1/2 tsp peppermint extract

This would have been so good then it got ruined by eggs. please don't promote the egg industry. It's a chickens embryo. would you cook with yours or a dogs? It's so disgusting and disturbing not to mention the nasty abuse that goes into getting eggs from forced raped animals that live in filth, have their beaks cut off without anesthesia. and deprived of even the minimal amount of anything naturalOr normal to them. they get stomped on and hacked up. It's really cruel your whole recipe is nothing but full of animal cruelty. Please stop eating innocent beings and their dead babies and their bodily secretions.

just a technincal question but. how many cameras are actually filming her? how is she getting so many shots? i notice a lot of baking videos on youtube have multiple angles and shots. with the precise art that is baking, how does one pull these tricks off without compromising the recipe?

Quick question: can't you just add the dry ingredients to the egg yolk mixture before adding that to the stiff egg white? Or is there a special reason why one shouldn't do that? Merry Christmas and get well soon: ) all the best from Germany

This is amazing I wanted to make a jule log and saw your video of making mini yule logs, but i wanted to make a big one. So i figured i'd just change the recipe a bit but then i saw this video So perfect timing xD. I hope you get better soon

hey Jemma: ) I just did the yule log for tonight so new years eve. i didnt have any white chocolate so I switched it with milk chocolate and i dont like peppermint so i switched with dulce de leche and it turned out perfect Happy new year

Is that enough batter for a regular baking sheet? Isn't a half baking sheet larger than the swiss roll pan? Yikes. I was going to make this tonight. Okay, I went to 1. 5 times on everything and am happy with the sponge.

If you're filling the ends of the log with ganache anyway, why cut off the ends and waste them? I get that things in the shop need to be 'perfect', but to encourage this in homestyle baking seems unnecessary to me: (

I tried this recipe for Christmas but my cake stuck to the pArchment paper and fell apart when I rolled it: ( it was completely cooled though. any idea on what I could've done wrong?
