It is But it totally works, obvs. RECIPE: For the cookie dough. 75g soft unsalted butter 115g light soft brown sugar 55g caster sugar 1 lg egg 1 lg egg yolk 145g plain flour 1/4 tsp salt 100g chocolate chips For the brownie. 165g dark choc chips 165g cold unsalted butter, chopped 330g caster sugar 3 lg eggs 45g cocoa powder 120g plain flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt

Jemma I've been subed for years and never made a recipe, but so this tonight and it looked so good I've got it in the oven right now. I halved the butter in the cookie and added in 70g of chunky peanut butter being from the US measuring everything in grams was a new way to bake for me, luckily I do own a kitchen scale, and chemistry has taught me to calculate Celsius to Fahrenheit, why can't the US just use celsius like the rest of the world? it would be so much easier if we would just switch to metric too. uh oh well.

Ye gotta just love utube and the wonderful contributors, I mean like how else would you hear about, never mind learn to bake, Brookies, who ever originally thought up the concept should be working on the space programme or something because it genius. let's hope mine taste as good as yours ended up looking, thanks for the recipe n tips

Hi cupcake jemma I made this recipe today and wanted to share my experience. The recipe turned out very buttery and didn't look like yours at all although I had to cut 30 grams of butter because I was short of butter. Also it took about an hour to cookI'm a long time baker and really don't know what could be wrong. thanks

Currently making these in work. Can't wait to see how they turn out. Looking amazing so far. However I've had them in the oven for over 30 mins now and still not ready? The centre of the brownies are still quite liquid, and only a little cracking on top so far.

Made them for Superbowl last night (after several years of making the pumpkin cheesecake brownies, and they were a total win And the leftovers straight out of the fridge today were at least as good Thank you for the recipe: -)

hi Jemma I'm from Germany and we don't have soft brown sugar. But there are so many recipes that I wanna try, which are with brown sugar unfortunately. Do you know an alternative way to do it? or to make own brown sugar? :)

CupcakeJemma that looks delicious. Just a question: Underbaking the cookie dough with eggs on it. isn't there a possibility of salmonella? I sincerely don't know which is why I want to know.
