How Chef Joshua Smookler’s Culinary Career Is Reaching New Heights in California Feast

Joshua Smookler has come a long way from his early days as a wine rep in New York. After opening Mu Ramen, he moved west to Napa Valley and opened Animo. Never satisfied, he switched gears once again with Golden Bear Station, an Italian-centric bistro that allows him to discover new culinary mountains to conquer. It’s much like the literal mountains that Sasha DiGiulian has dedicated her life to conquering. A world-renowned rock climber, she’s achieved greatness time after time. But when a slew of injuries led to five surgeries in the midst of a pandemic, many doctors weren’t sure she’d climb again. That only added fuel to her fire, spurring her to reach greater heights once more. They join Carlton to discuss the trials and tribulations of overcoming obstacles to find themselves at the top of their professions.

Spectacular drive. Love my NorCal. There are amazing ranchers all over the Bay Area. Every town is within 20 min of open space and you'll find local ranchers on some of that space. check out Bay Area Ranchers Co-operative or California Beef Council. Check out Circle Bar (way up north, C&R, Cow Track, Five Dot, Five Mary's (way up north, Koopman Family (literally in the middle of the Bay area. Remember, buy local.

No one here is pretentious is rich coming in the midst of one of the most pretentious food video's I've seen in a long time. This one is a miss, Eater. We want to see passionate people doing their thing (which you do so well in Mise-en-Place, not drone shots of a Lexus driving through vineyards and close ups of swirling wine.

SO FUN! Ahhhhhh! I want to eat all of that literally right now! Looked like such a fun evening in Napa and now I definitely want to visit Stemple Creek and Golden Bear Station. LOVED Carlton as a host, so chilled out and fun (and Maya is gorgeous! such a cute couple! Can't wait to see more Feast from Eater!

Golden Bear station is an awesome spot I went last week. But this series is just weird. Such a departure from the success of 'mise-en-place'. More food and less pretentious string music and faux emotional story lines please

The moment the wine snob tries to correct the chef how to season the meat before the grill really was awkward. That dude is full of himself and pretentious what a fake snow flake I stopped watching this was lame

There's a reason why tv show format doesn't work on the internet. Please don't ever do this format again, specially not with some rich people who have absolutely nothing in common with your audience.

If I asked AI to produce an overly pretentious food video I would imagine something like this would pop out. I hung in until the puffer vest barbed wire scene.

Just after the intro, I knew everything in this video was to expensive for me. When will they make more down to earth foodie videos. I cant relate to this.

This is a weird series. The host is unrelatable and pretentious. The conversations throughout was strange and all over the place.
