What are the actual food trends going on right now? What is the next big craze for Ethnic food? What's the new superfoods? What dietary restrictions are influencing menus? Where's some interviews with chefs talking about their craft and process of cooking/creating food? Oh wait, nevermind, here's a few more hours of white people jerking off about japanese food again. Boooooring.

The biggest problem I have with this video (and the sommelier) is that this is supposed to be informative- and she is supposed to be an expert- but they don't even address the fact that sake isn't even the name of the drink. Sake is a general term for alcoholic beverages in Japan. Nihonshu, or Seishu, is what the West calls sake, and specifically refers to the clear rice wine.

Amazing video. Never would have thought Sake could be so versatile. I love pairing food with different beers or wines. And enjoy different spirits. But never enjoyed a sake outside of the bombs. This may be a dumb question, but do you drink this room temperature, chilled or warm like they give it to you in the sake bombs?

Awesome episode! Very informative. I used to be a bar manager at a Japanese restaurant and getting people to even try sake was like pulling teeth. And we had a great list! Should be required watching before you go in to any Japanese restaurant.

Youve missed one of the most important notes to remember. The S. M. V Sake Meter value which by looking at the back of the bottle, you can tell if its going to be a drier sake or sweeter or a medium body

wish she actually gave info on what to look for in the menu and explained what all the words in a name meant. while the vidoe was enjoyable I am no closer to learning how to order sake

Sake is often too high in alcohol content to actually enjoy pairing with food for me and even when it isn't, it still tastes much more like a spirit than a wine

I want to see the science supporting the stuff that Soms have to say. We can make potato chips taste like whoppers, this should not be too much to ask.

Informative and entertaining. I love sake and enjoyed learning more about the varietals from the sake expert. Here's to 18% alcohol sake, kanpai!
