At Les Eclaireurs in Lyon, France, brothers Guillaume and Romain Luyat specialize in a variety of sweet and savory eclairs. Follow along as they make their signature pink praline pastry. Asad: I was obsessed with french pastries since i could remember. Saved loads of money to visit Paris and basically wanted to live off of desserts for a week or two and i was highly disappointed. These pastries look so appealing but i kid you not these pastries are bland as anything, no taste at all. I thought maybe i am not going to the right or expensive places, and viola after spending even more there was absolutely no taste in these pastries. Its like you are eating clouds.
The country that really surprised me with their desserts was Thailand. They are innovating in taste, texture and smell. I am not sure why their bakery, chocolate and pastry scene doesnt come to light that often. The really know how to bring taste in choux pastry. Their cakes are 1000% better than any place in france. This video is the reason why people like me waste money on bland places like France and do not take countries like thailand seriously when it comes to food.
