On thanksgiving I made two big pans of homemade dressing from scratch and as I was transferring the bread, cornbread and everything that goes in it like the trinity onto the other side of the sink, well as I was trying to pick up the second huge pan the pan slipped out my hand and it fell ( guess where) on my foot so my mother and cousins scooped up the dressing which I havent added the turkey stock to it yet off the top of my feet ( only the top, my feet were clean I had on bunny slippers) we didnt tell anyone what happened and after I made the whole thanksgiving dinner from scratch everyone LOVED the dressing and my uncle yells from the other room where other family members were eating WOW niece YOU REALLY PUT YO FOOT IN THAT DRESSING but little did everyone know that I damn near really had put my foot in the dressing

Paula Deen said herself she started out having her sons selling sandwiches, she knew nothing about real cooking, she used ms charles to the max, but you better believe miss Dean God is watching, you were such a low down you no what, with all ms Charles work, you was not decent enough to purchase her a nice brick house for less than 300thousand dollar house, wow that seems like you ms Dean let Satan control you. Its not to late repent admit you could have done her better, Have her a 2, 500. 00 sf brick house built, I don't think she wants to big of a house it would be to much for her to care for. Go do it and show that you are not one of Satan's sisters. I think all people black and white will respect you and support you more.

I wonder how many of the hateful comments about Paula Deen were made by true Southerners of both races. As a Baby Boomer child of the South I have tasted cooking from both races in there homes. When cooking is done by true Southern Ladies using local Southern foods the foods are very similar. My aunts, Grandmother, cousin, Mother in Law and Arican American friends cooking has always been similar but different. We cooked what there was to eat whether you were rich or poor. It's not defined so much by race as by what there was to eat. Poor is poor. The foods of my youth have fast been changing to fit more modern ideas. I sure do miss them.

When people get mad at someone like Paula Deen. Who had a show, and products. Seems to forget people who are employee because of that. It's the only thing I think of when people don't buy the product no more. It's a lot of people out of a job. I guess if I never did something I regret doing then maybe I wouldn't be so forgiving. I can't throw stones at a glass house when I have a glass house myself. Because she is not the one losing in this.

I'm sure Paula Dean will not read this or even hear about my opinion of how DOWN RIGHT DIRTY! she has been to this wonderful Lady and the others that worked for her. I would hope and pray that one of these days that she would live up to the promise she made her no matter how mad Paula might be because her old friend and partner in her heart told the truth of how she was really being used!

Perhaps this woman never cared about the money she could make and couldve made from her cooking. Perhaps she is happy and well off living in her trailer doing what she loves for the people she love. Yall out here feeling bad for somebody who could be happier than you could ever imagine. Some people dont let outside forces (people, fame, money, etc) define what theyre success looks like.

I'll have to do some research on Miss Dora, but does anyone know how she's doing now? I read a comment here stating she put out a cookbook that you can buy on Amazon, so hope she's doing well with the sales from that. I'm from the South & I'd LOVE to try some of her food. Looks delish! (maybe she can just adopt me, I like to eat)

For all of you that know in your heart PD claimed dishes that didnt belong to her. this lovely woman just wanted a job to create great food. This is why the descendants of slaves in America need their reparations! Mrs. Dora could have created her own brand if everything wasnt stolen from her ancestors.
