God, Nick, your lack of facial hair is giving me flashbacks to my dad shaving his 25 year old moustache when he retired from the military. He even started wearing that style of sunglasses afterwards. That was a traumatizing point in my life, please stop reminding me of that. Otherwise, great episode except for the lack of Nick riling up the turkeys by gobbling at them. You always gobble around turkeys.

Watch as all your guests take 2 bites and then load up on the sides. Congratulations you just served what 90% of people would say is a terrible tasting turkey. There are very good reasons stores and people don't go after heritage turkeys.

How do they kill the turkeys? is it ethical? Love supporting places like this where the animals are eating an all-natural diet and get a chance to be outside and roaming, rather than cramp quarters factory raised.

Blood flow adds flavor. It's a broscience episode. They can't just say, it has a more balanced diet than corn-fed factory farming and it's lived a less stressful life because it's been outside in the sun.

oyadori is the baby and the hina dori is the mother sorry. Its the other way around. maybe you guys should fix that. Oya means parents and Hina means chicks.

Totally looking forward to raising turkeys someday when I find some more acreage. Already have honeybees and chickens. Homesteading really is the life.

What if turkey's had a specific diet that enhances their fat content or flavor like what they do to some pigs in Spain feeding them chestnuts and seeds.

i tried both wild turkey and chicken and i must say i cant eat it. its too chewy im not used to it. also they have much stronger, different flavor.
