This place is amazing. I went there for a conference (NOLA) and obviously went here. The place is walking distance away from the bus and just in the middle of a neighbourhood. The line there does happen, but when I went there was no line (3ish on a sat or sun I think. The batter is amazing, super light and flaky and crunchy and just the literal best I've ever had. There's also an undercoat of sauce somehow between the meat and the batter that is slightly spicy (you can kind of see it in the close-up shots where he tears the drumstick meat. The meat is super juicy and amazing. The sides are also really good (I had the beans and cornbread I think. I'm not a big fried chicken fan, it's not something I go out to get (I prefer rotisserie) but this place is above and beyond without a doubt

I love how these foodie snobs discover all the great road houses, grills and flops where we normal folk eat. Its nice to recognize these small eateries but the analysis that follows is always pretentious. A parody of flavor? LOLOLOL! Youre not teaching anyone anything new. Lets do the wing thing! Dont you people ever just give it up? WE know its good. Catch up and shut up, why dont you? You insufferable food critics talk too damn much.

I ate here and it was good but it was tempura that's the long and the short of it. I went there because of Bourdain and that was over a decade ago it would be cool to see some new places and not have each host have the exact same reaction it's a bit disingenuous if they REALLY think it's the best fried chicken they've ever had they should try Japanese food.

Goodness gracious do ppl in the comment section reeaaallyyyy think he intends to leave all that meat on the bone? Its like they dont have a concept of cutting and editing on videos like this for the viewer. Like yall really wanna watch a video of him eating each chicken bone clean? lol

Fantastic! I love chicken, Growing up with 5 brothers and sisters, food was scarce, I or we, ate every last bit of chicken. We never left anything on the bones, they were cleaned of every last bit of edibles. To this day I do the same and not waste anything on a chicken.

I hate to disagree, but I disagree. I visited the place and I was not impressed. The chicken was overly salty (and I love salt. The sides were awful. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I dont understand the hype. I am more than willing to try them again, but.

Budgeted-shows such as this one need to venture off the reservation a bit and do collaborations with no-budget folks like Mikey Chen, aka Strictly Dumpling on YouTube. Subs and views of all involved would skyrocket. Isn't that the goal?

The anchour's wearing a shirt that has the last name of one of my floor mates, supposedly a roommate! It's a real word! It rhymes with a JUSTICE LEAGUE character who had his own show that was a CW original! It also has a partial Texaco logo!

I've eaten here and I wasn't impressed. I don't know if I caught them on a bad day, but I didn't think it was that great. The chicken was really salty (and I love salt) and the sides were mediocre. I've had better chicken in the city.
