Lucas Peterson is loose on the streets of London, and hes looking for a hearty snack. This episode of Dining on a Dime takes him down Brick Lane to try beigels (not to be confused with bagels) and salt beef from Beigel Bake, an old school Jewish-style cafe that serves sandwiches 24 hours a day

Awesome to see my favourite food show in my neighbourhood! There are a ton of comments saying the lady was grouchy and she probably was a bit but also it's just not the over the top american service. We still do that in bars and pubs but for food locations in east London these decade running old shops all have authentic real people working in them who might just be having a shit day! The beigels are amazing but certainly not the best in London, I would recommend you try Nana Fannies Eater!

You need to drop by Montreal: 1. there's a huge diversity in ethnicities and cultures which means all kinds of food for every budget2. it's the city's 375th birthday this year so there's even more events/festivities than usual3. our bagels are also famous, so how about you do your own comparison taste test?

Speaking of bagels, you should do a bagel crawl of L. A.; compelling because you could answer the question of if L. A. are really any good or not. Everyone knows NYC bagels are good but what about LA? Has always had a large enough Jewish population such that you'd think there'd be good bagels a-plenty.

as a Jew I find this episode pretty funny BC of the Bagel pronunciation confusion. in my experience the people who say baygle at least in the Jewish community are predominantly Yiddish speaking chasidic Jews and the Jews that don't speak Yiddish pronounce is as bagel

As someone who grew up going to Beigel Bake, they are totally different from the classic new york offering, slightly sweeter and more chewy, i preferer them in all honesty as i have had both offerings, in both cities and styles on numerous occasions

That lady was salty in the video when he said Bagel or Beigel and she yelled with an angry, and annoyed tone It's Beigel cause it's German, dang she is really pushing potential customers away with her bad customer service

Beigel Bake's been kind of a staple, signature place for locals and visitors alike, so it's good to see you cover them. Also, there have been terror attacks in London recently so please stay safe, Lucas and the Eater crew!

To everyone talking about how rude the people are: this shop is open 24/7 and the staff is like a machine. All they want to do is get you your food and I don't see a problem with that, because it's consistently good.

Thank God no overhyped American fakeness just people being themselves. But to be honest I was kinda disappointed he didn't tell what he preferred (NY or Beigel, don't try to accommodate everyone.

FINALLY! I had a salt beef bagel from this place on a night out. I don't remember much of the night apart from eating the best bagel ever and have dreamt about it since. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH
