If you thought Eater's 'Cult Following' series couldn't get worse, stand up, walk to the window, and leap to your ultimate freedom. Or, if you've elected out of traditional suicide, sit back, click play, and take in the brain seizing wonder that is Serena Dai. Marvel as a so-called former food critic of Long Island, describes olive oil as a seasoning of sorts. Seethe with discontent as two quasi-personalities munch on the crispy bits. Take heed of such dynamic bumper dialog as like, honestly. How could we not eat it? Has Eater no shame? Is there a god? What is the meaning of life?

This host is absolutely clueless with no personality whatsoever. How this valley girl wound up in New York is beyond me. C'mon Eater, give us a strong female host that's not only good looking, but intelligent with an edge. I must have yawned 4 times listening to the host ramble on about something she knows nothing about. This pizza tastes light and isn't greasy at all. It's something you would feel good about giving to your family. Oh yeah pizza lady, got 4 words for you, STFU! Let's see if you can figure that one out.

I don't get the hate aimed at this is sublime comedy! The host character is a brilliant portrait of absurd contrasts -- a food critic who is absolutely incapable of describing food, a narrator with a horrible, flat, nasal voice; a guide in a visual medium with dead, expressionless eyes; a story teller with the vocabulary of a second grader? Also, the insipid Aaaamaaaazing! catchphrase? Come on, that's comedy genius!

Even though Serena's presenter skills and apparent food knowledge definitely needs improving (the whole valley girl vernacular is seriously grating, I felt oddly defensive of her each time the other Eater guest spoke and started taking over the show. I'd rather Serena rise or fall on her own instead of being supplanted by a colleague (who was more articulate with her opinions) on her own show.

This was an excellent video. I know people will criticize (or come just to criticize) Serena for a lack of description whereas other hosts will unnecessarily spend 2 minutes doing so. I know what good pizza tastes like. And when you are flying Pizza to Indianapolis, it must be good! Cult following my favorite host.

Solid food-journalism and good on-camera presence, but, I mean, they didn't even order two whole pies. Guess they would have wasted a bunch of pizza of account of their birdlike appetites. Lucas Peterson would have dusted both pizzas in one fell swoop, dispensing witticisms all the while.

People need to chill out over this host and take the show in as a whole. The show isn't about the host or her ability to describe the food to you, I feel, it's about the culture or following around the establishment and her sharing the experience of discovering these places with us.

Improving, but still terrible. The guests she has on are better than she is. Who else feels bad for the restaurants she reviews. We hate her review (if you even can consider it a review, not the restaurant. I wonder if the restaurant had no choice, but to have her review their place.

see Eater, i get that this show is less about the actual food and more about the origins, history and popularity of certain foods, but with such a diverse nature of a show you really need a host with charisma to carry it. Im not loving the hate at the host, but the numbers dont lie.

You have to taste pizza before you can judge it. Honestly the best pizza I've ever had was a simple cheese pizza some years ago when I was visiting cousins in New Jersey. I literally sucked it down. Quality of ingredients is what matters.
