Look, Eater. Nice concept. But, there's some stuff in there that's pretty easy to factcheck, like how it's named after a character named Paris. Or the distance the ship travelled. When you don't, and you get these two guys making comments like they are, it either comes across as bad research, or making fun of a fandom to get some cheap 'laughs'. Sorry, this is just really cringe-worthy.

Not a Star Trek fan but did some research. The author of this cookbook is the actor who played Neelix on one of the Star Treks, Ethan Phillips. Ethan's grandfather, Johnnie, opened one of NYC's most iconic steakhouses in the 1920s, _Frankie and Johnnie's_ which stayed in the family until the '80s. Cool. Thanks, Eater.

I'm genuinely confused as to why you would make a Star-trek themed cooking video knowing full well that it would attract fans' attentions. and then proceed to make ignorant comments and sarcastic digs at the show. Not once during the filming, editing, and uploading did you guys think this might be a bad idea?

They weren't 70 million light years away from the milky way. That's ridiculous. They got transported against their will 70, 000 light years away from where they were in the Alpha quadrant, to the Delta quadrant. Both of the quadrants being PART of the Milky Way. Sheesh.

just watched this and I couldn't pick up the recipe because I was so frustrated by them doing a star trek dish without even doing any research. it would have taken all of 1 min if that to realise that this Paris is a person not a place. but I guess atleast the tried.

Not only do these two knuckleheads not understand this was for Tom Paris but, they have zero Idea on how to relate to fan fiction. Eater hear my words and understand their meaning, cancel this show and forget this two guys ever existed.

Yes, it's a tongue-in-cheek recipe from a novelty cookbook. The joke is already there. Which is good, because these hosts -- human sodium-free saltines -- lack any discernible humor or wit.

Ignorance and poor or no research will kill any video. Do your research and don't pretend to know about something you clearly have no knowledge or interest about.

Pretty sure these chefs could whip up a protein shake pretty quick! Also very good with the hot beef injection always makes for a tender super juicy hunk of meat.
