I love this. I think this speaks on the West Coast vs East Coast food culture dynamic, specifically Mexican food, and in this case, Toronto. We don't get Mexican food like on the West Coast namely like in (Southern) California. Once you've had Tortas, Tacos and Burritos (and other kinds of super awesome Mexican food) out there the East Coast version feels like a skimmed out, overpriced, less flavorful knock-off. Its likely this Torta cost 10 or more, and in L. A or San Diego you can find the better version for less than half the price. Annnnnd No racial yo, but the super gringo, Mexican, chef says it all, doesn't it? lmaoooooo. You experience the same thing when you get to the West Coast and eat things like Pizza, Hot Dogs and Pastrami, it just doesn't feel like the East Coast.

Lucas, I like your hair here because it's shorter. however, you have to cut the tail in the back. It almost reminds me of the 80s when guys used to grow that part of their hair out long. LOL! Is there a reason you don't trim it straight across like maybe you have a cowlick that won't behave there? :)

I always enjoy your food reviews. What I wonder about is why you go to a large North American city to try its ethnic foods when you should/could go to the source, in this case Mexico! As I've said previously, you would be mor appreciated if you tried foods

Arturo is a person who is passionate about the Mexican culinary culture. Toronto has a wonderfully diverse population and you can find just about anything that you would want to try, or to remind you of where you or your family were from.

I know Lucas occasionally checks these comments. If he sees this - which do you prefer (not necessarily which one is better, these tortas, or the ones from Super Tortas, DF from an earlier episode? Both look amazing in their own way.

damnn, you should check out burgernator. its literally a minute walk from the torta joint. its probably the best burger joint in toronto. their beef is so tender and juicy, it just crumbles in your mouth. check it out lucas!

Tortas are the best. They're incredibly hard to find in my city but there's a food truck located outside of a supermercado by my house and I can get a large torta and two tamales for ten bucks. All the starch fills me up!

Glad to see Kensington Market restaurant. Been visiting Kensington Market since I was a kid. It's next to Toronto's Chinatown. Very eclectic with restaurants, thrift shops, mom & pop grocery stores, dessert shops, etc.

me going into lucas fanboy mode during the ice cream visit and look what we've got here, THE CAMERA AIN'T FOCUSING RIGHT, Y U DO THIS EATER CAMERAMANbut still give a thumbs up anyway because it's Lucas video

There's nothing better than a solid torta. They aren't the easiest to find in my city but a local food truck makes a giant killer one for 7. 50. That and a couple of tamales or chorizo tacos and I'm in heaven.
