Yukitaka Yamaguchi is the Tuna King. Step inside his shop at Tsukiji fish market. Daniel: Ok, first off, a lion? Swimming in the ocean? Lions dont even like water. If you placed it near a river, or some sort of fresh water source, thatd make sense. But you find yourself in the ocean, a 20 ft wave, Im assuming its off the coast of South Africa, coming up against a full, grown, 800 lb tuna with his 20 or 30 friends. You lose that battle. you lose that battle nine times out of ten. And guess what, you wandered into our school, of tuna and we now have a taste of blood! Weve talked, to ourselves. Weve communicated and said, YOU KNOW WHAT? lion tastes GOOD. Lets go get some MORE lion. Weve developed a system, to establish a beachhead and aggressively hunt you and your family. And we will corner your, your pride, your children, your offspringWe will construct a series of breathing apparatus with kelp. We will be able to trap certain amounts of oxygen. Its not going to be days at a time, an hour, hour 45. No problem. That will give us enough time to figure out where you live, go back to the sea, get more oxygen and then stalk you. You just lost at your own game. You are out gunned and outmanned

Do yo know, why all this type of decease starts with China, because they eat all innocent animals, bugs. Like dogs, snake, bats and all types of bugs. They are soooo hungry, the also eat mosquitoes too. Also if china didnt stop now. In a few years, it will disappear from world map. So stop killing and start loving to animals.

I come from along line of fishermen and I was thought to deep sea fish bye hand lining a technique that in my opinion has long been forgotten. I highly respect this man and his technique and keen eye to detail because that is how my grandfather has thought me.

Tuna, like most fish, nowadays is mutated with escaped farmed fish. So our global waters are polluted and I now have organic flaxseed oil to replace omega 3. But I'd rather eat fish. I grew up catching them on a line and eating.

So no one's gonna talk about that blade? Also, based on that, here's a small one: Random guy on the street: Oy, oy(in Japanese accent)What are you doing with that? Him: Proceeds to fillet the tuna. Random guy: sigh of relief

the numbers of bare hands that touches the fish and then the chef that also uses his bare hands to cut it into sushi or sashimi slices for the customers to eat raw. imagine the billions of bacteria. geezzzz

Absolutely beautiful and so very right. If you love something enough to make it your life. YOU LEARN all you can about it and master it from every source you can find. Hands on, study, test, perfect.

There's a reason why Carolina tuna boats harpoon or gaff tuna in the heart instead of the head. You're less likely to cut the line. Why risk a million dollar fish to get a few thousand extra?

Soo if Tuna tastes like what it eats, if it eats plastic in the ocean for a living. wouldn't it make the tuna taste like trash and tuna will taste like tuna if it eats another tuna?

I cant help but think of him as an action movie mc. When pirates break into the fish market to steal all of its 500 tuna, there is one man to save the day, and his tuna knife.
