Hi! Emma, I don't know if its because I used square baking pan (7 inch) but I failed at baking this recipe twice in a row (BTW I LOVE your cake flavor so much: D, --both cakes faces break and puff up so tall at around 15 mins at first step of baking (180C for 35 mins, so I lower the temp to 160C immediately (2nd step 160C for 20-25 min)--after that the face of my cake puff up even more and their cracks are so deep like abyss LOL. - -I put the cake on 2nd racks of my 5 racks oven. - Please help me I really appreciated it. -(In my opinion I need to lower the temp down but I don't know which temp I should use) -Thank you in advance.

+Emma's Goodies I love anything with cheese in it, and this looks quite delectable, like I said before, you'll be the first person I ask to make food for my future wedding with whoever! My family, along with you, are incredible! I think if you add a little whipped cream on top it would make it that much better! When are you coming to NYC? I would love to meet you and to taste some of your food, and just get to know you better! Love you Emma!

Emma! You are surely my twin baker. This is exactly how I make my Japanese Cheesecake. The first time I tried i followed the traditional recipe strictly and didn't add any lemon/vanilla. The texture was lovely but the flavor was a bit too bland for my liking. I then added the lemon n vanilla and it was perfect. You can also try adding melted dark chocolate and a tbsp or two of Baileys Rum cream it's delish

Sorry I missed you're video on Friday. My nieces 2nd birthday was Saturday & I was knee deep in the cake that I was making for the party. - So I have to be honest I saw several videos on this cheesecake a week before your post & I'm really unsure about it. I just think creamy when I think about cheesecake & this looks more like cake. I will let u know if I make it-

hi Emma! this cheesecake looks wonderful! I do have a few questions, is this cheesecake moist? does it have a nice cream cheese flavor? I've heard that Japanese cheesecake taste like eggs so does it have a nice cream cheese flavor? and if I double the recipe will it be a tall 9 inch cheesecake? thanks: )

Wow! That looks perfect! So many recreations of this kind of Japanese cheesecake don't get the details right at all - they so often have the wrong texture, wrong look etc. To me this looks just like the original Japanese Uncle Tetsu cheesecake which started this phenomenon! Fantastic job!

Gonna have to make a futile attempt on this. While I was in Japan I had tons of those Japanese Crepes ( Which were delicious but some a little too sweet ) but I missed my opportunity to try some of this cheesecake. Thank you for this and upload and I subbed!

Loved your recipe! I tried making this using Tasty's recipe, which I filmed my attempt. but somehow the cake separated into a weird egg mixture at the base and was not as smooth like yours! I'll follow your recipe when I attempt this next time

I've never heard on Japanese cotton cheesecake before you're post on Instagram and have been looking forward to seeing your recipe. I will definitely have to try this sometime! That texture (visually) looks so interesting and delicious x
