Delicious homemade apple pie recipe from scratch. Easy apple filling and melt in your mouth crust. Check my Fall/Winter Playlist for more recipes Ingredients for the Crust 250 gr All Purpose Flour 40 gr Egg Yolks ( use large eggs) 3 tbsp White Sugar 150 gr Very Cold Butter 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar 1/4 tsp Salt Ingredients for the Filling: 700 gr Apples ( I used a mixture of Green apples and Golden apples) 30 gr All Purpose Flour 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Salt 1/2 cup White Sugar NOTE: Baking time can vary from 45 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes. Check your pie after 45 min. If it needs more time leave it longer

I made it today and it came out very very good. The pie crust was amazing! I used 800 grams of apples instead of 700. At the 40 minute mark in the oven I covered it with paper foil to avoid too much browning since it needed more time to cook the apples. The sugar level was perfect to my taste but not sweet enough for my husband-s so next time I will add a little bit more sugar than just 1/2 a cup. Other than that this recipe gets a 10 from me Emma. Very very yummy -

Wait for 4 hours before being able to eat it! Emma pls tell me you're just kidding! LOL-Anyway, I'm no way gonna be able to do all that waiting, I'll dive in straight away. whether it's a perfect slice or just a pile of crust, it will still be tasting yummy, and that's all what really matters! At least imo haha-And what a creative way to do the top crust, I seriously in love with how it turned out-- Emma you're an artist!

This is apple pie PERFECTION! I love the leaf design! It's so clever, because it's actually much easier than rolling out a sheet of pastry and getting a neat result. but this design is 100X more impressive! I also love the look of this crust - slightly enriched from a standard pie short crust. Really, beautiful. I hope lots of people make this for Thanksgiving.

This looks amazing. Question: I have a few diabetics in my family. How can I make this sugar free? I know I can just use sugar substitute but I-m confused as to whether the volume difference (with substitute being much less) would make a drastic difference in how much dough I have in the end. Would you happen to know?

Ciao Bella! -Wonderful recipe! Too pretty to eat this! Is this a -crostata pastry recipe-? I noticed you used apple cider vinegar. How does it differ from using lemon zest/ rind? I love the Italian Crostata w/ the lemony, tarty taste & glad I saw your recipe. Your leaf look is sooo artistic!

Happy Holidays Emma you are saving my life this holiday. I am in charge of desserts which I have to make 5 of yours, and apple pie is one of them. Everyone love a good apple pie and yours looks delicious. I am going to take my time and follow the recipes exactly and pray for the best.

oh my goodness Emma this looks amazing! can i just ask what pan size did you use for this receipe? is 18cm (7 inches) will work? i bought especially the same size pan as you used to make your cakes because ive decided to try and make all of your receipes: D theyre amazing!

I LOVE adding a splash of vanilla to apple pie. That and brown sugar so I can get sort of a vanilla-caramel thing going with my apples - judge me all you want, but it's delicious. at least to me. Can't wait to do that with this recipe though -
