I like that you heat milk, melt chocolate and do everything without a microwave. I have a microwave but it's for reheating food only as a personal preference. I heat my breakfast milk like you do too. --I'm watching to give it a go. It will be my first time to make brownies. I do know how to make caramel and syrup so that's a plus. Will update my outcome later. ---Update, 04/02/2020: -I baked it last night, then made the syrup and ganache today. My daughter, 8, and her dad loved it! I do too! Told them it's from Emma on YouTube. - I however, used only 1 tbsp of coffee co's my daughter finds coffee too strong in chocolate desserts where coffee is used as an enhancer. Thank you for sharing.

I may try the cake later. but I promised one of my sisters I make her some cookies involving nuts and chocolate. recently she asked if I could make a chocolate goo for the cookies so what I planned was to make her a cookie sandwich (like an Oreo) and the filling would be chocolate goo. would it be an issue if I used the chocolate ganache or caramel/syrup recipe for the filling? as I've never made a chocolate gooey baked good before. which would you think would be ideal for a cooke sandwich?

I made this today. Definitely messed up the caramel 100% on me tho. Will update once I taste it. --Edit: I loved it. But that was it lol. I used dark chocolate so the cake tasted sugar free! Honestly this is a really great recipe I just goofed. I will use this in the future but I have learned from my mistakes.

Emma the syrup was thick and glossy when I strained it. I was so happy and drizzled it in the bowl a few times and it turned really thick immediately (first time making ). Did I needed to strain and Let it cool down before playing with it? Can I rescue it? Damn, I was way to proud I guess LOL. HELPPPP

I made this yesterday and honestly it was the BEST! It was so moist as well! I struggle making caramel tho, so if couldn't add that and also instead of icing I made my own custard and warmed all of it up and it was this really nice hot chocolate pudding! Thankyou emma! -

You can wrap it and freeze it until easy to handle to layer it. go that step further and use a coffee or mocha filling. or if you want to be really decadent use a white chocolate and raspberry mousse? This cake is very decadent and versatile!

Wow this cake looks amazing n I wanna make it. But i don't eat eggs. So Can we make an eggless version of this? This cake has very little flour n the egg seems necessary to hold everything together. Any thoughts on a legit substitute?
