Good old Robert forgot the orange Liqueur. I understand that there is a very small segment of people who make margaritas without it, but that is almost always when you are using a really nice tequila. Whatever they had in those plastic bottles definitely does not cut it. Secondly, simple syrup? really Robert? If you are forgoing the orange liqueur to let the tequila shine then you should probably not be using simple syrup. Its called agave nectar. That''s what you put in a margarita.
