You all need to lay off Emily, my whole life I've been eating french toast with tomato paste and salty cheese (like feta. I first found out people made them sweet when I was in college and I still have trouble comprehending this.

Ppl r so dramatic about Emily & her ketchup. It was hilarious. That's it. Would I put it on French toast? Of course not. Did it affect my life that she did? Uh, no, other than giving me a laugh when she called herself a monster.

Emily said she's the heel of this video. Anyone who uses a kayfabe term off the top of their head, will have at least me to back them up. I stand with the Emily Gang! (no matter how repulsive her culinary choices are)

Combine the exotic and the Italian question - French toast, pizza sauce, slab of mozzarella and basil.
Is that my pregnancy cravings talking, or does that sound amazing!

They didnt even answer the one question I had. Why is it called French toast? They told me what its called in France and that doesnt help me understand why its called French toast

I was actually doing savory French toasts all my life, do you people really never make it with dill and salt in egg mixture and serve it with fried sausages and tomatoes?
reply

It's called pain perdu because it uses old bread in order not to have to throw it away, which was good for people that needed their (scarce) food to last longer.
