If you start the stream by pressing buttons like any normal person would, whilst having a slow connection. Portrait mode stays stuck. As for the 'cherry' plum tree. Add potassium sulfate (fertilizer npk = 0-0-12) with a bag of chicken poop now, and again in 6 months. Only do that once a year there after. Just before the rains start. Might take a year or 2 to become non-cherry in size

Im so happy for you John. You have brought such joy and solace to so many. You have helped me through many difficult days, and Ive ALSO become a better cook. You deserve this. Kismet is so ironically apt. May you live many blessed years in your own version of the same peace youve given all of us.

To prune 1clean pruner with alcohol 2 cut any small branches growing straight up3 cut any small branches growing toward the center of the tree. Do not take a little off the top Do not cut off more than 1/8 of the tree per year or you can kill it. Do prune it now Winter is the right time

Hey Two things. First, are you sure the plum tree is wild? I have seen Asian plum varieties that are very small. You should ask the local ag agent. Second, the smile on your face makes me happy. As we say, couldnt slap the smile off my face. Well done, Chef John.

I know its to late but a quick rule of thumb for pruning is take anything going straight up, you want branches to grow sidewards. You want to thin the middle so air and light can get in there. And any branches that are touching or crossing have to go.

Cool finally a face to the voice. On our farm in rural Nebraska, we had a small fruit orchard. Pears, 6 kinds of apples, huge thicket of wild plums and mother's 2 cherry trees. And yes, the plums were small and sour. Good luck w/yr fruit trees.

Take some pictures of the trees you want to prune and go to a reputable nursery to find out where and how to prune. maybe if you bring a tray of lasagna hell offer to come to kismet and help you out Food always works. just saying

The most original use of portrait or is it landscape mode ever. It's sideways scape, perfect for Spiderman for when he's hanging from the side of a building. All I can say is thank god you can cook better than you can video.

Thanks for sharing your digs with us I wish I had room to do some gardening and grow some fruit trees. Anyway, enjoyed it even with the technical difficulties, but then things are going to happen when youre live.
