I generally dont post a lot video recipes inspired by Papa Johns television commercials, but thats exactly what happened with this Pizzadilla, although not right away. At first viewing, I made fun it, and said something snarky like, Wow, they finally figured out how to fold a pizza in half I was underwhelmed to say the least, but as youll see, it all worked out nicely. Rich: Looks fantastic Chef John. I'm a big fan of your puck pizza dough so you already had me there. And I love cooking breads in my cast iron skillet, you get a really nice crust. So this definitely goes into my chef john recipe playlist. I'd make it tonight but I already have crab legs on the menu but I will try it very soon. Thanks so much for your videos, you've really expanded my horizons in cooking.

To all of you in the comments: all toppings/fillings should be precooked Calzones contain no sauce, so closer to an a stromboli if anything (but still not the same) This is a silly food video made by an experienced chef taking license on something he also sees as silly. Food purists are less fun at parties than the guy with the undesired guitar. Being grumpy in life gets you no where but grumpy while everyone else has the fun. And as always. enjoy.

I make a pizzadilla using pizza sauce, pepperonis and mozzarella cheese. Place a large tortilla in a oiled frying pan put on your ingredients and then top with another large tortilla then cook until cheese is melting and the bottom of the tortilla is brown and then flip it over and brown on the other side. remove from pan slice and Enjoy

This was inspired by Papa John's. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they came up with this when their calzone, or maybe a stromboli experiment didn't quite go as planned? Looks like a quesadilla No. It's a stromboli No. definitely not. That's ok though, we'll just call it a papadilla

Chef John. while i looked at the finished product between 0: 09 and 0: 30 secs i thought to myself that must be salad and parmesan. couldnt help myself thinking there needs to be a inbetween-thingy. it felt too far apart food-characteristicwise. dryed tomatoes? whatca finkin bruv?

I Wonder if you could actually make this in a panini press or if that would be too hot and the dough gets burned on the outside while still raw on the inside. Maybe if you roll it out thin almost as thin as a tortilla you could actually cook it probably.

Chef John, I have been watching your videos for 10 years. You have inspired much of my home cooking. However I am deeply sick of seeing you cook - cooking is not just cooking. What about your prep and freezing? Can you please post something new

Those papadilla's are just a folded small pizza. I tried the Philly cheesesteak papadilla and it was not good. Papa John's needs to try again. I actually hate chain Pizza I think it's gross. This pizzadilla looks so good chef John.

This looks way too convenient. And delicious. Why are pizzas so laden with toppings? Thin crust, smear of sauce, cheese if you have it, a few bits of whatever's in the kitchen and voila. Only the crust is pizza; the rest is add-ons.

I wish I could watch these videos but that voice is just so annoying. I'm disappointed every time I click on what looks like a good video and it's ruined by that voice starting. Why can't you just talk normally?
