Wow perfect timing. I was about to make chicken parm for dinner tomorrow. but I am thinking a chicken parm lasagna cushion.
1st because I dont have any pasta at home
2nd I am on a low /no fat diet, and it is easier to modify individual servings than subject the whole family to fat free plastic like cheese.
3rd If this turns out nice I can batch cook individual lasagnas where the noodle is the perfect size for my pans.

It really annoys me when people use noodle to mean pasta. Sure, the word is applicable enough when talking about spaghetti, capellini, vermicelli and the like, but couldn't be more wrong when talking about lasagne sheets. Whether they are rectangles, or as in this case, discs, they are not in any way noodle-shaped. He might as well call them hypercubes, or something.

There's a restaurant in my town run by a family from Abruzzo. They make several variations on a dish almost exactly like this and they call it timballo (not to be confused with pasta casserole dish from elsewhere in Italy. Next time you're back near Rochester go check out Mamma G's.

Love it, (not new but) great idea!
For ease of assembly spread the cheese on the pancake while it's on a plate
Could imagine a lot of fresh spinach in there and bechamel. nutmeg. maybe some bacon under the top cheese layer, sigh, I wish I could cook somewhere

Hummmm -- Substitute soft taco shell for the pancakes, -- picante sauce for the marinara, -- use Mexican three cheese instead of parmasean, -- and decorate with pico-de-gallo and you would have a Mexican Lasagna! BUT I still wish to try this one first!

Wow, nice idea! Luv the singing too, if you like to sing, do it! Personally, I've been putting jalapenos and serranos in everything lately, so I'll be adding them as well. Yum!

That sort of in-between pancake/crepe, I think it looks a lot like a russian blin. And a blin lasagne, to me, sounds like the absolute best thing that could possibly exist.
