When it comes to party food, there are few things as easy and delicious as crispy, cheesy, puff pastry-based bread sticks. Not only can this versatile snack be made with all sorts of different cheeses and dips, but it can also be made into the shape of a Christmas tree. FatelovesTomorrow: I've never commented, but last year I really started to get back into cooking/baking. I just want to thank you Chef John for all the work you do. You helped me reignite my passion for cooking/baking and I am eternally grateful.

I'm still laughing at 'Round the outside, 'round the outside because I said it in my head at the sane time you did.
I love this recipe, fun and festive.
I will definitely be making this one for Christmas day!

No disrespect, I've been following you for about four or five years now. This is what I classify as cute food. And for various reasons, I just don't do cute food. Try that the flavor is beyond amazing.

I made this with raspberry jam, shaved white chocolate (lightly) and ground hazelnuts. It was beautiful and amazingly tasty. I topped it with crystal sugar. I served it with additional jam as a dip.

I've done a puff pastry tree the last couple of Christmas' one with butter, cinnamon and sugar, and the other with Nutella, they were both so good! I think I'm going to have to try this one next.

Chef, be honest. Would you have shared this with Michelle if she were home?
Odd that she chose this day to leave you to your own
devices
Out Christmas shopping, I suppose.

Does anyone know if it would be okay to prep and get to the point of baking the night before and then pop it in the oven christmas morning or would sitting in the fridge ruin it?
reply

Making this for a gift to go with my famous red lead spaghetti sauce and pasta kit. My friend gets the same thing from me every year and starts begging for it at Thanksgiving.
