Learn how to make the perfect Margarita Believe it or not, this classic cocktail only uses three ingredients, and will blow away any margarita made with store-bought sour mix. You shoud try some of these for Cinco de Mayo, which is on the fifth this year

Most craft bartenders refuse to use triple sec or Cointreau in a Margarita despite being in the original recipe. I mean a French ingredient in a Mexican cocktail; we can do better chef. Try this for size: - 2 1/4 ounces of 100% agave blanco tequila (or mezcal if you like it smokey)- 1 whole lime cut in eighths and muddled well. (Do not skip this step. The lime oils in juice make the difference) - Use 1 ounce of the resulting juice. - 1/3 ounce of agave nectar. (Use less by all means if you prefer it dry) Shake hard and serve up or over large ice cube(s. Salt rim is optional.

Chef John, I have to let you know I felt super let down by you today when I went to make chicken fried steak and could not find one of your videos for it How could you have been making these videos for so many years and never done a chicken fried steak video I think you know what needs to be done. Do the right thing, chef John. Do the right thing. You need to stop taking a break and make a video of chicken fried steak

this is unrelated to this video, but not sure where else to make this request. I would like if you made more videos with organ meat. I feel like organ recipes are hard to come by and good recipes are even harder. Also if you discussed the different types of meat, their flavor profile, what you would eat them with, how you would season it, and how you would prepare it would be so helpful.

Only because I don't really drink margaritas too often, I was curious. Why do people put salt on the rim? The restaurants that I have been to that serve them offer salt or sugar. Again just curious because I have never had a real margarita, just the frozen kind and I wouldn't really consider them to be margaritas, lol.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU My Dad taught me this 50 years ago. He learned it from a bartender in the Cadillac Bar in Nuevo Laredo (RIP. The only difference was that my Dad and the bartender used cracked ice. BTW: 64 (dislikes) people the wouldnt know a good Margarita if you poured it over them.

As a former career bartender I have to admit I clicked on this video expecting to roll my eyes but his recipe is 100% LEGIT, from the salt method to the 3 ingredient simplicity and ratios to the vigorous shaking (extremely important step that cannot be understated. Excellent video.

As a Texan I was worried I was going to be let down by this video but nope, it literally was perfection. I die a little inside when I hear people order sugar instead of salt on the rim. that being said I absolutely love it when they rim it with Tajin

I prefer adding agave nectar and half the amount of orange liqueur that you use. I don't want the liqueur to over power the tequila. Tastes great otherwise, it's personal preference. The way you make it is delicious too.
