I have a question: I'm not trying to be one of those uppity food-know-it-all types. just curious. Why do you use cayenne in almost all of your recipes? is it just a personal taste preference thing? or do you normally put it in most recipes you make? or is it a regional thing you've picked up? I guess that's a few questions. ;-p I like cayenne, just not in everything, yep - I understand if I were making this to just omit it if I do not want it. I just wondered. Thanks, keep up the really great videos and good luck.

Huh, I did this a couple of times, too, but in a bit different way. I prefer soaking the bread first, then pan-frying both pieces on the one side, flipping it over, laying the cheese (and ham, too) on one piece. I then proceed to lay another piece of bread on top of the stuffing, and fry a bit more, maybe flipping occasionally. That way bread gets that delicious French toast feeling on both sides, and the stuffing warms up faster (since it touches the freshly fried sides.

So when I put ham in my grilled cheese or whatever other sandwich like this when I'm melting it I always roll slices of ham in into a roll and place them in on end so that it probably about 5 or so rolled pieces of ham so that when the cheese melts on both sides of the ham it ends up holding the sandwich together rather than having the tendency to fall apart

. just a thought, but one should grill the ham before building the sandwich. then grilling the whole sandwich to get the toasty outside and the cheese melted on the inside. grilling the ham first adds a whole new texture and brings out the full flavor of the ham. so if you're spending the money on great ham. grill it to your liking first.

Stop blindly following idiot under cooked egg Brits. Liquid isn't ok. It is in fact utterly disgusting and dangerous. You mostly do absolutely awesome stuff, but as a civilized person, unlike primitive royalty is still a thing Brits, this one grossed me the hell out. NEVER do something with under cooked eggs again.

The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) actually advises everyone against eating undercooked eggs, or foods containing raw eggs (that means recipes like homemade caesar dressing, aioli, some ice creams or protein-packed power shakes) due to the risk of salmonella.

For many recipes white bread is the only bread. Whole wheat is good but sometimes you just want an empty canvas to paint on. Pictures of Elvis on canvas are awesome, but pictures of elvis on black velvet are just tacky. Lol
