Why not make it more healthful and keep the fruit raw and use a slow auger style juicer to extract the rest of the juice from the fruit A slow juicer will extract all the juice and leave the pulp which you can discard. Then add that juice back in to the juice created while the fruit was macerating and add water. This way the life force/biophotons/ angstroms of energy from the fruit will remain in the juice and not be destroyed by the heat.

Great technique. I did this with limes overnight. Extrated tons of flavour!
Be sure your citrus is not dried out btw. The first time I made that mistake and ended up peeling too much of the pith, resulting in quite bitter lemonade!

would it be possible to grind the rest of the fruit and zest and make like pink lemon tart (or cakes) out of it . I'd really like to not waste any of those precious fruits. and if so, could you please make the famous chef john's pink lemon tart recipe and of course make a video about it: D

Wow, that red color realliy pops! I've made Chef John's State Fair Lemonade many a times so definitely will make this! Is this the first time the Chef finished the entire serving before the end of the video You know it had to be super good!

On one hand, that is just about the best thing I have ever seen someone make. I definitely want a glass. On the other hand that's a lot of work just to make a couple of glasses of that stuff. Tea and lemon and sugar also does it for me

Hey Chef John, if you hold a utensil or piece of silverware against the side of the bowl while pouring the liquid will flow along the instrument and not down the side of the bowl.

Finally a recipe that isn't sparkling water other ingredients. I don't do super bubbly drinks yet that is all I see now. This is a perfect new drink recipe for the 4th!

FYI, according to some doctor the white part of the lemon is the best natural remedy for an enlarged prostate, so maybe don't skip it from the drink.

I know lemonade is not exactly healthy but this stuff has three times as many calories in it than Coca-Cola. I'm sure it tastes amazing though
