Chocolate Zucchini Bars - Food Wishes

These chocolate zucchini bars are moist, tender, and packed with zucchini, yet feature a texture very similar to fudgy brownies. These bars are also gluten-free, since they’re made with almond flour rather than wheat flour, and sweetened lightly with maple syrup, so you can serve them guilt free for breakfast, dessert, or a snack.

For reference, this recipe can be found on page 666 of Satan's cookbook, To HELL With Tasting Good. Seriously, though, Chef John, I have tried and loved many of your recipes, but this one breaks my brain. I'm afraid I'll just have to take your word for it being outstanding. Lastly, not sure how I feel about the ingredient. nut butter. because some days, I'm still 12. Great video as usual. Thanks.

I have been watching you for years. For the past year, I started deleting regular flour and sugar. Not a fan of almond flour, so mix it with bamboo, etc. For sweetener, I like like monkfruit or allulose (but this burns when baking food, so will attempt to cover the pan with foil) Thank you for this fantastic recipe. You are so creative! I hope to see more recipes like this.

For my birthday last year, I mysteriously requested zucchini chocolate cake (I had heard about it somehow. A few years ago during the pandemic, I came across in a grocery store (not the one at which I'm employed; different company) pistachio butter. So this here recipe looks interesting and delicious.
Now I'd like to wish for oh, I don't know mapo tofu.

This looks delicious, Chef John. I've been ketogenic/ketovore for several years and the only things I'll change are to use coconut flour in place of almond flour, and sub stevia/monkfruit for the maple syrup. For those interested, Lilly's make sugar-free chocolate chips. Thanks for the recipe!

I have a family recipe that uses cocoa powder in the batter (you can also sprinkle chocolate chips on top, or chopped nuts) that results in a moist, lightly sweet bread that doesn't even need butter. I've served them to people who refused to believe there was zucchini involved.

Your timing couldn't be anymore perfect! I just picked a bunch of zucchini out of my garden and was looking for new recipes since everyone is sick of stuffed zucchini, zucchini fritters, zucchini pasta, zucchini gnocchi, and zucchini fries. Thank you Chef John

1/2 cup of maple syrup contains 108g carbs. That's 13g carbs per 1/8th serving. Allrecipes says 37g carbs after including the nut butter. I haven't checked their math but I'm skeptical. However I also know I should never trust a skinny chef!

You actually never made Pasta con panna its quite the basic one id like to see it because i think alot of people do it wrong by making it a cheese sauce Its a cream sauce with ham.

What an awesome recipe, and if you replace the two butters with yogurt, you have a very low calorie, high fiber sweet snack! I will definitely make them during my cut!

I love vegetables in baked goods. Last week I had a pastry with dark chocolate chunks and bellpepper pieces it was a surprisingly good flavour combination

I love the sound of this healthy dish though will have to buy a good nut butter. As I have infinite trust in CJ’s tastebuds will definitely try this one.

I love everything zucchini, I may add a bit more sweetness, I love stuff on the sweet side, but then again, you can always top it off with ice cream, lol.

This sounds and looks absolutely disgusting. Two things that don’t go together, like hot sauce and eye drops.
