Sauteed Mushrooms is one of the best and quick ways to cook mushrooms. Sauteed with onion they get a wonderful flavor. Adding some wine too, makes them totally irresistible. The flavors blend so well and sauteing gets them such a beautiful brown color. Try it out, these sauteed mushrooms with caramelized onion are such a comforting dish, you will love it, I am sure of that. Ingredients Makes about 2-3 servings 3 cups (300 g) baby button mushrooms 1 medium onion, sliced 1 clove garlic, chopped 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp soy sauce 1/4 cup (60 ml) white wine Salt and freshly ground black pepper fresh parsley Directions 1. Clean baby mushrooms with a damp towel, cut the ends if necessary. If you use bigger mushrooms cut them in halves, quarters, or slices. 2. Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and cook for about 3-5 minutes until softened. 3. Add mushrooms and cook with the onion for about 8-10 minutes stirring frequently. 4. Add soy sauce, salt, pepper and wine and cook until wine evaporates, maybe another 3 to 5 minutes. 5. Remove from heat and sprinkle fresh parsley on top. Serve immediately.

Use water to sauteed the mushrooms first then when the pan is dry add in a bit of oil to brown the mushrooms and then add the onions. Dont worry about overcooking the mushrooms they basiclly wont ever overcook. Id also recommend dicing the mushrooms to use this more as a burger topper

I add more wine at the beginning, cut the mushrooms in quarters, use red wine, and i cover them. Cooks quicker and has a different flavor. Mount with butter at the end for a really shinny look. Put with steak au puav. peppered steak it's excellent. Thanks for the video

I add Thyme to my version of this recipe. Mushrooms are great cooked in dry red wine too and if you don't have white wine, dry vermouth works great. Try it on buttered toast or on puff pastry or on pasta.

You don't need to wash mushrooms with a damp towel, just use water. It's proven to be a myth that mushrooms absorb the water, they're already saturated with water and can't hold more to begin with.

this is one of my favorite recipes. especially when you add a little bit of sesame oil and/or a little bit of butter. yum yum yum this also works REALLY well with cremini mushrooms. great video

This recipe was absolutely amazing. I made it today and it turned out so nicely. The onion added the sweetness to the whole dish and that's what makes it so tasty. Thank you: )

I tried to cook it, onion begins to burn before the mushrooms are ready. In my opinion it's better to add mushrooms first and then onion. And use a good amount of olive oil.

Olive oil in pan? :) olive oil is not for frie after 2 minutes become very bitter, very toxic. use korn oil. palm oil. and a litle bit of butter in the end
