I love that there are MANY ways to achieve the end result. .whether you live in Brazil, Germany, England. . Or, wait, even Pennsylvania! ! Sometimes you don't always have the same ingredients, however, Jamie Oliver and his guests, typically show us how we can get the best result with whatever we have on hand or what is available in our markets! Nobody in this video stated that it was the ONLY way to make dulce de leche, so in the spirit of Christmas, which I am pretty sure the video is about, GIVING, and not hating was the whole premise, and I for one, enjoyed the enthusiasm of her presentation! ! Merry Christmas to ALL the Food Tube team. .I wish I could be part of your world. .you seen to have so much fun together! Thank you for bringing it to us!

Oh I love the idea with the spiced gin - I will safe this idea and have to try it out some day. Would it also work with rum? Oh and this is a different Dulce de Leche recipe from the one I kno where you put a can of sweetened condensed milk into a pot of boiling water for several hours while turning it from time to time. This one seems to be quicker and a bit more indulgent, maybe I should give it a try to see if the result is even better: D

Just a little hate for Christmas; D That Caramel you just made is NOT Dulce de Leche. I have no doubt it's delicious, but calling that Dulce de Leche is like calling Lemon Curd to lemon+sugar+corn starch when a real Curd is made with egg yolk and butter, not corn starch Dulce de Leche, as many other comments say, is made from milk and sugar (and maybe vainilla.

Dulce de Leche means milk jam in Spanish - LECHE is MILK! I have never seen it made with butter and double cream, dulce de LECHE is actually much healthier than that as it is only milk with sugar - I'm sure this recipe makes a great treat, but it is not Dulce de Leche! XoXo: )

Dulce de leche, or doce de leite as we call it here in Brazil can be made only with fresh milk heated for 3 of 4 hours with some sugar and some little sweet fruits until it gets creamy but this way looks good to. Meet christmas foodtube

hope someone can help me. cannot find golden syrup in italy. is it necessary? or should i replace it with something else? like honey? but i wouldn't like the millefiori taste in the caramel sauce, with vanilla. just too much flavours.

I gave my brother-in-law some ginger nuts with chilli. (Got to keep the ones that didn't fit in the tin I sent him, and they're delicious; sweet and gingery, with a bit of a heat in the aftertaste)

what the hell is golden sirup? Always when i watch cookingstuff I think that looks great but I'm totally not gonna make it because this stuff is impossible to get in germany: -(
