By the way, most if insects in Oaxaca's market are sold to curious tourists that like to tell the world that Mexicans eat bugs on a daily basis when the truth is that most of them are equally reluctant to do so as the rest of the world. It was a prehispanic habit that got lost in time and just few people actually eat them.

Congratz on another amazing and authentic Mexican recipe. Being form northern Mexico we have some cultural differences from the southern states so chapulines are not very common, I've only tried them once and fell in love with them, so I'm looking forward to make my own tostadas de guacamole con chapulines.

reminds me of my biology lesson where we did I'm a Biologist Get Me Out of Here (cheesy right) but we did tastings of different roasted insects like buffalo worms and I actually quite liked them. They had a musky nutty taste to them, but this is the 1st time I've seen someone cooking with them! I want to try this now!

I hope people realize that shit like crab, lobster and others literally fester in their own filth and everything else's too but no one is disgusted by that? Like, have to never been to an Insectarium and eaten these or mealworms? They taste like fried bacon, just salty and/ or spicy.

Interesting recipe. Good guacamole variation. Insects are worth a try if you have the opportunity. I'd have a few back up options if serving these as the appetizer. Keep sharing these talented videos. Blessings ChefMike.

I can not understand the fact that it's 2015, and I'm still listening to spanish music when talking about something mexican. I'm completely dissapointed. BTW the guacamole and chapulines, It's a must. Do try them.

I loved it! I tried grasshoppers before but just by themselves, like a snack, but I'm sure their crushing gave an amazing feeling, besides their unique flavor seems to complement all the rest of the ingredients! !

Thanks for the lesson in Nahuatl. So Guacamole is basically Testicle puree in Nahuatl? LOL. Great Guac recipe, I personally like to add diced tomatoes and a bit of cheese, makes it more colorful and delicious.

Grasshoppers are great food. I thinks thi will taste delicious. The baked flavor from the grashoppers with the spice off the pepper and the fresh taste of the lemon and guacamole. I realy like this video!

Garlic in guacamole? I'm sure it tastes good, but I live in El Paso so it seems a bit weird/amusing to add in the garlic. Also Coriander? We don't even have fresh Coriander here lol so jel.
