Sadly being sure that you came up with an idee for the very first time is close to impossible. That also count for making songs, probably not a all song but many got problems with having an already existing part of a melody in their song without knowing it. This can be the result of a forgotten influence but also with close to 8 Billion people on this Earth it is intirelly possible that 2 or more people have the exact same idee and work it out.

Aww you're so polite and kind, giving the world your own original recipe and asking nothing in return other than keeping the name the same. I don't know how to explain it but that made me smile and feel like there are still super nice and giving people out there. I also tried your recipe and enjoyed it very much I think it would be cool to see it on a menu one day with your name.

I made this today. Great recipe. I only had eggs, lemon juice, salt and pepper. No cooking ring. So i whisked the egg white, added lemon juice + the salt and pepper. Then put some of the white fluff in the pan (in a round shape, made with a spoon. Make a dimple in the fluff. Put the yoke in there. Cover it with more white fluff. Fully bake on both sides. EAT!

I don't have a restaurant, but will make this for my friends and family and will call it Deveaufs: ) Des eaufs means eggs in French, and since your name is French I think it's cool to incorporate your name into the name of this dish. So I just switch the s for a v and we get Deveaufs Very good recipe, thank you very much

Wow thats great. I tried it today and it worked really well for the first one. when I went back to the egg whites it was really difficult to get them to firm up again. Is there anything that can be done to help them stay fluffy without yhe full on souffle mix? Thanks for all your tips and fantastic ideas!

I made my own rings, by getting my husband cut empty baked bean tins in half with a power tool, to purchase the rings is very expensive, as we all know, yu can always sandown the sharp edges, & it does'nt cost yu anything, only a tin yu were going to throw away, lol

I like the idea and I tried it the other day, but I must say- it tasted kinda weird. Maybe its just me, but meringue in my opinion doesn't really work for savory dishes. Again, that is just my opinion since I ate a lot of desserts which are made with meringue.

i was thinking of adding some cheese to the egg whites to make it a souffle wrapped egg yolk that would be great. maybe running a torch around the outside of the ring to firm up the sides to keep it standing tall. its all good. thanks for the spark for my ideas.

That is, I am, oh my gosh. I got to try this in the morning. Devaux That has to be good. Oh no, I don't have the metal ring. Maybe use 2 toasts. I have a lemon. make a hole in 2 toasts. do what you got to do then go to the restaurant supply for next time.

This was awesomee! It looks delicious, and the idea also is very clever, I never thought to cook whole yolk inside foamy eggwhites. I definitely must try this these days (i need to buy the metal ring first. And I will also keep the name - Eggs Deveaux!
