I saw your breakfast sandwich video and copied it, and they turned out great! I changed some of it, because my Costco didn't have the same sausage patties, and I used their artisanal bread buns, which was an impulse buy, but the technique for making the eggs in a baking sheet with the parchment paper worked brilliantly. I froze them in the parchment paper and put them in two 1-gallon Ziplock bags; I leave them in the parchment, and I use the pizza setting on my 700-watt microwave, and they come out perfectly. I will absolutely do it again, and next time I'll use the English muffins. I'm going to use this method of hamburger prep, too. Probably with the English Muffins.

I've done this for years, but I only freeze the patties and cheese because I feel like the bun gets yucky and I'm a bread snob. If I did freeze it with the bun, I'd heat only the meat n cheese in the microwave and put the bun in the toaster because it definitely makes it taste fresher.
The reason I've stopped going to favorite burger joints is over their bun quality. I used to love getting a Quater Pounder, but their buns are disgusting and I can't stand their cheese.
I also make my dehydrated onions and slice my pickles for my homemade burgers, mmm!

I just did the same yesterday (Memorial Day sale being around the corner) with my local grocery store selling 8pack burger buns for 99c. I went with 3 different protein options. One for ground beef burger. Another one is breakfast sausage. Last is grilled/baked chicken breast. I could have chose different types of cheese slice options like Provolone, Cheddar, Pepperjack, etc, along with different sauces/dressings and veggies, but I didn't want to bother. It's a great way for me to take out and heat up in the microwave at work. Not many dishes involved either.

At least you know exactly what's in your hamburger with the spices or seasoning you do not have any preservatives and it just feels fresher when you do your own freezer prep meals I always do a double batch of stuffed shells so I can have some in the freezer I made chicken and noodles in the Crock-Pot it made a lot so I had another meal to bag and put in the freezer when it was done I did just make some pancakes but I have not reheated them yet so I can't speak for them but they look better than the store-bought Frozen ones

It’s been a long time since I had Micki D’s
But I have heard their foods had gone up. When he was younger One of my sons would only eat Micki D’s burgers and fries. I let him think the same thing but I started putting it in a Micki D’s bags or plate it out. Until some yrs later I finally told him it was home fries and home burgers that he been eating all them yrs. I think I was caught when he came in the kitchen or his siblings couldn’t hold water and told him.

Some of my favorite foods to freezer prep, it's just hubby and myself kids all grown and moved out. I freezer prep hubby's lunches and breakfasts for work. A few lunches chili, homemade veg beef soup, chicken chimichanga and pulled pork. A couple breakfasts homemade sausage biscuits and mini loaf banana nut breads. I freezer prep homemade biscuits and flour tortillas to have them on hand. I love your homemade quarter pounder cheeseburgers and will be making them soon.

Sorry but Sam's Club has better frozen hamburger patties either ground or Angus meat patties than using fresh meat for burgers since you gonna freeze it anyway! Your way of making a large pattie is a lot of trouble to cook, cut into singles & it was swimming in grease when it came out of the oven. You should never add the cheese till after reheating the burger apart in the microwave or you'll make a gooey cheesey mess with the cheese getting too hot 1st.

You’re saving a lot of money by doing it yourself. Not to mention driving to go get it and coming back, so you’re also saving on gas. It’ll probably take you anywhere between half an hour to 45 minutes just to get something to eat and drink. Compare it to 5 minutes in total warming everything at home. It’s a win, win.

I love to freezer prep pasta and sauce, but I do it in two steps. I make my sauce, then put it in a container and freeze it. Once frozen, I then add my cooled, cooked pasta to the container and put it back in the freezer. I do it this way so the noodles do not get mushy or suck up the sauce and it tastes freshly made!

Smart! The best part, is each person can customize their burger. Since cheese slices last a long time in the fridge, I'll probably just freeze the burger, some grilled onions and the bun. That way, when the burger is warmed through, cheese slices, lettuce and tomato can be added. Great job, as always, and thank you.

I've been freezer prepping oven-baked boneless chicken thighs, fully seasoned by me for about a month now. It comes in handy when you're pressed for time, and I'm going to add the burgers to the addition. Thank you for sharing, and the burger looked just as good as McDonald's in my opinion

great idea, but i would toast the bread separate. never a good idea to microwave bread, always better to use the toaster oven. btw, my toaster oven is an oven and broiler too and it works even better for cooking frozen foods! i dont much care for air fryers.

Hi A! I always like that your Husband helps you out in the Kitch. I asked my Grandaughter to pick me up them frozen veggies you use from Costco when they go. Your burgers look mighty delicious. Great prep idea. Thanks for these tips today. Great Video.

I freeze mine in foil, put it in the refrigerator the day before and in a warm oven for an hour or 2 and tastes as good as before it was frozen. The microwave over heats the bun then it hardens. The oven don't do that. A bit more planing is required.

And the good thing with homemade burgers is you can mix the ground beef with an egg or breadcrumbs (or both) and bbq sauce/steak sauce to make a meatloaf patty to stretch the quantity or change up the taste!

I like to freezer prep things I cook with. I chop red, green, yellow and orange peppers. I also prep garlic, celery & onions. It just makes cooking so much easier to have these things prepped and ready to go.

Hi I've been watching your videos for about a year my first comment I'm in Las Vegas Nevada and thank you for this video I'm gonna do this and I really appreciate you showing how you heat them up huge savings

In my family we would grill burger patties cool them then put them in the freezer. Then when we wanted a burger we would microwave them and make a hamburger. No need to freeze the cheese and buns.
