Angelica, that chicken pot pie recipe you put together around 6: 40 is amazing! So easy. practically a dump recipe. I made another dish that needed browned cut up chicken pieces so I made more than I needed and saved half of my cubed browned chicken for this recipe. I also happened to have about a half cup left in a carton of heavy whipping cream I wanted to use up so in true Simply Mama Cooks style I used that and the rest milk for the pot pie filling. I had a potato lying around too I needed to use so I peeled and cut it up into small cubes to match the mixed veggies in the can. Parboiled them for a few minutes but probably didn't need to since the pot pie takes about 35 minutes or so to bake to golden. I just scribbled some notes from watching the video but now I need to write this up as a recipe for my spiral notebook. Another Angelica recipe for my recipe book! So simple and easy, so good! Oh, I had a box of biscuit baking mix instead of the single envelope. I saw the envelope had 199 g of mix in it so I used about that much for my biscuit mix topping. Mix until it's like a thick pancake batter and spread over the filling. Simple and delicious.

First two, weren't my thing. The chili cornbread thing looks good and the chicken pot pie looked very good. Could use rotisserie chicken too, I know you buy those as a shortcut. Or I often end up with an extra chicken breast with no home when I make a recipe. Boil it up and use it for this pot pie! Cream of wheat. I usually make mine with milk. I assume you'd sub out 1 to 1 for coconut milk for the liquid part I'd try it that way. I usually only add some butter and a little maple syrup to my cream of wheat but I could see adding blueberries and walnuts. I like dried cherries so maybe I'd use those. That last snack with the apple and cheese and cinnamon honey looked very tasty!

Hi A! I am really a fussy eater. I don't eat sardines. I bought a bunch for my Brother-in-Law but he passed away before I got them to him. I gave them all to my neighbor for his cats. My dear Husband liked them. Why don't people like food crunches Sure doesn't bother me. The Chili-Cornbread skillet looked yummy to me. Thanks for these quick and economical meals. Whats the meaning of the green star on your cheek. Nice Video.

I'm sure you're familiar with kdramas Hometown cha cha cha was really cute and the way the characters won me over with some time was satisfying

Ohh. the chicken pot pie looks delicious, we need to try sardines that way. Love the way you think. A show my sister put me onto I've been liking is Why Women Kill. Not what I expected in a good way. Also like Call of the Midwife but that has many seasons now.

I grew eating Sardines from a can with crackers too! Actually, pretty much Mediterranean in general. We used to eat it as snack as we were cooking, as I've been cooking since I was 12 We also ate French bread with a drizzle of Olive oil.

This looks wonderful! Have you ever tried sardines with guac That would be excellent on sourdough toast. Maybe with a bit of lime for acidity. I love the Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923. I haven't seen Yellowstone! Both prequels are FANTASTIC.

Hmmm. I too grew up eating sardines. On crackers with mustard, while watching the original Twilight Zone. Had not ever thought of actually warming them up or adding anything to them, but color me intrigued.

The little hand was too cute! But actually, all those looked good except maybe the sardines - that would need to grow on me. AND who knew you could toast marshmallows with a tea light. Hahaha

Everything looks good, except I don’t like the canned mixed vegetables they’re too soft for me. I’m going to make the chicken pot pie, but I’ll use the frozen carrots and peas.

I have to go out of town. I’m going to make the chicken/biscuit dish, but I’m using small square disposable aluminum pans. Then freeze them for husband’s lunches

We all relate to removal of the taosty sourdough. you know it is gonna be delish and you just want to burn off your fingerprints getting that tasty slice on yhe plate

I have those sardines and just the other day I said to myself there's got to be something I could add to sardines to make them tastier and WALA there it is. Thank you.

I used to eat sardines as a kid too, with crackers. My Mom used to buy those. I'm the only one besides my Mom who ate them. I had 4 sisters and no way would they.

I love Cream of Wheat with unsweetened Apple sauce, butter, a little salt, cinnamon, maple syrup/ brown sugar. Tastes like apple pie. Fresh peaches are fantastic too.

Those snackssss, the crunch and sweetness and comfort of the meals plus cream of wheat brings me back to my childhood! I put marshmallows on my list!

I would sub kippersnacks for the sardines. I grew up with Cream of Wheat & your recipe for it sounded good! Also liked your little hand pointer!
reply

I've heard that sardines are so good for you. I need to give them a try. I'm enjoying your fancied-up videos. The mini hand pointer made me laugh; )
