I must be the only kid on the face of the earth that didn't eat chip sandwiches or weenie flautas. Our go to food when times were tough -- rice, beans, potatoes and whatever my dad shot during hunting season. Good thing my favorite foods were rice, beans, and potatoes! when i was young in UK we had chip butties, which is chips made from freid potaoes, in a plain CHEAP WHITE bread sandwich with butter, , cant get a lot more basic and cheap that than, some tomatoe suace all u need as salt in the butter

I still put chips in my sandwiches. And each sandwich has a different type of chip I like. Ham and cheese get Doritos. Pb&j get Fritos. Tuna gets Doritos or ruffles. Bologna can get pretty much any

This is so real! Growing up in TX, I know these meals! And still eat them. Don t forget to throw some cut up hot dogs in scrambled eggs to make breakfast burritos!
