Today I am cooking at home and making sweet pumpkin butter. You can use roasted pumpkin and make your own puree or used canned pumpkin puree. This is perfect for fall treats and eats. INGREDIENTS In the video I made double this amount 1 1/4 lb ( 567 g ) roasted pumpkin 1 1/2 cup (355 ml) water (to make pumpkin puree) 1 packed cup ( 200 g ) dark brown sugar (I used piloncillo) 1 Tbsp (15 ml) fresh lemon juice 1 tsp coarse salt (if using fine salt use 1/2 tsp) 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice If using canned pumpkin puree, then exclude the water

Looking forward to making this! I visited San Diego during Thanksgiving week for our honeymoon, bought a jar of pumpkin butter at Trader Joe s and this forever reminds me of that time. We don t have a Trader Joe s in my city or anywhere near here but I m always after it! lol.

This is what I ve always enjoyed living in a state that produced lots of apples and pumpkins being able to go to farm stores and buy that wonderful, fresh apple or pumpkin butter in the fall. Now that I ve moved to Arizona, I guess I ll just make my own.

Its kinda like the way I make apple butter instead of lemon juice I use vinegar. We eat it on crackers, ice cream, milk shakes or a sandwich ect you can even eat it with pork. Thank you for sharing it looks good.

This would make a great pumpkin butter milkshake (using vanilla ice cream) or a nice tall pumpkin Coffee latte!
Can't wait to make this. Thanks so much for sharing.
