Today I will show you one of the easiest ways to cook a whole chicken. I am cooking a whole chicken in the slow cooker. The texture is similar to rotisserie chicken. Ingredients 5 1/2 lb whole chicken 6 qt Crockpot 1 Tbsp salt 2 tsp granulated garlic powder 2 tsp granulated onion powder 2 tsp salt-free lemon pepper 1 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp paprika 1 tsp dried thyme Art: This has been my favorite way to cook whole chickens this year. I love the way the flavor turns out and the meat is so juicy. Not having the crispy skin doesn t bother us as we don t eat chicken skin usually. If we want crispy skin we have other recipes for that. Also I love to do this and shred the whole chicken and freeze to meal prep for lazy days! I usually add veg on the bottom if it s for dinner but now I want to try this seasoning blend you made up for it, sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing we love your videos and recipes in our home!

This has been my preferred way to roast chicken for years. I don t like the chicken sitting in its own juices as it cooks because it gets mushy. I set the chicken on a rack that keeps it an inch off the bottom. Lots of nice juices for gravy etc. i sometimes put onions, celery and parsley inside for more flavor.

You could also do this on a pellet cooker outside. With approx 30 seconds of research I found the crock pot temps are 200 on low and 300 on high. I wouldn't do chicken at 200 as there'll be WAY too much smoke, but 300 will give a nice smokey element. Just another option.

I love to cook chicken like this when HEB has them in the ad. I usually get a couple of them cook them take the meat off the bone and put it in freezer bags and stick in the freezer for pasta dishes and casseroles. You can usually get 2-3 meals out of one chicken.

I just cooked a turkey breast in my Crockpot. It smelled like thanksgiving. I went to the store for rolls and they don't sell them this time of year. I bought the sourdough bread and wow so yummy. I will try your list of seasonings next week on a chicken.

The rotisserie chickens at the supermarket never have crispy skin. I'm cool with not eating the skin. I will definitely try this. I will brine the bird first tho.

Looks wonderful and so tender, falling apart. I have never attempted to make a whole chicken before. But I do believe the Crock-Pot would be the best avenue.

Put a parchment sling under it just as you would quick bread in loaf pan to lift it out and keep it from sticking to the crock. It's my method.

You can also make an amazing rotisserie chicken in an air fryer. Breast side down for 30 min then flip for 25. It's delicious
