Today I will show you how to make a savory beef pot pie with a flaky puff pastry crust. This American-style meat pie is a comfort food classic perfect for the chilly weather. You can also add this to your collection of easy beef recipes. Baking a buttery, flaky crust and tender meat pie is a great way to keep your home warm and cozy. Whether you use tender beef steak or ground beef Ingredients 1 1/2 lbs thinly sliced beef chuck steak 2 to 3 Tbsp cooking oil 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/2 medium onion 2 cloves garlic 7 Tbsp all-purpose flour 4 cups beef stock 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce add seasoning & salt to preference if using a tender beef cut, then only use 3 cups of beef stock

Forget the pastry and use ground beef instead and you have hamburger stew. Ladle that over mashed potatoes - pure comfort! We (lovingly) called hamburger stew Dr. Ballards when we were kids! (if you remem, ber the tv commercials for Dr Ballards dog food)

Great recipe. With that said, adding the garlic so late, won't really give it a chance to break down, and leaves a very strong possibility of someone biting into a chunk of garlic. I made this after watching your video, but used garlic powder.

This looks wonderful, & delicious. You are such a joy to watch and I look forward to seeing you cook and sharing your next recipe.
May I ask you your tips on cleaning and seasoning your cast iron skillet?

Looks so good! What did you call the pastry dough? It isnt listed in the ingredients. It sounded like you said fod.
ETA LOL, kept watching and the second time you said it I heard thawed. Sorry!

This looks amazing! I can almost smell it! If I wanted to add potatoes, would it be better to dice my own, or use diced canned potatoes? When would be the best time to add them?

WOW! Such a Beautiful Color - PERFECT. I can't believe how the Puff Pastry shrunk. It's in a PERFECT circle exposing the white of the baking dish. Another Masterpiece! TYFS.

Yum! This is going on next weeks menu. We just had your lazy chicken pot pie casserole a couple weeks ago and that was a big hit. Oh, I bet this one will be too!

Looks great!
Only difference I'll do, is garlic powder & onion powder V real onion and real garlic.
Wishing you and your family a beautiful week.

It s just beautiful and know it was wonderful! What brand puff pastry did you use? I ve been disappointed with Pepperidge Farms at times.

Oh, you're one of those people who don't use a bottom pastry. You should know all the folks in the UK just clicked on Minecraft.

I love my pot pies I really do but I like to have a bottom to my pot pie. to each their own by the way, that looks delicious.
